Pictures of a recent project!! Trans quilt!!!

It’s a lap quilt, so not super big. I started and finished this in one night, working on it for 8 hours straight, and I’m really glad I did cause I’m so happy with the outcome.

Can’t wait to bring this with me to festival booths and pride :)

2026 Whimsy Quests

what's more fun than stressful new year resolutions? whimsical side quests. here are some side quests i hope to embark on this year.

relearn how to use my sewing machine

start roller skating again

knit a pair of socks (they don't need to be wearable)

expand my native and herb gardens

pet a worm

try 5 new (to me) local restaurants

write a song

revamp my crafting space

take a trip to a kitschy tourist location

get in a creek, river, or lake as often as possible

have friends teach me to identify local mushroom species

commune with the moss

three months in…

and many a quest has been had!

• roller skated for approximately two minutes before admitting to myself that the skates i thrifted are ancient and completely shot

• planted catnip, lemon balm, dill, oregano, thyme, chive, and cilantro (also bought some native seed packets that i’ll sow once the weather permits)

• pet a worm!!!!

• tried more than five new-to-me restaurants thanks to lovely friends who know all the good spots and make for wonderful company

• the weather hasn’t been conducive to fully submerging into local bodies of water, but i haven’t passed up the opportunity to walk along a nice creek or lake when i’ve encountered them

• the moss is attempting to teach me the perfect balance between softness and resilience
