"Sherlock." Take it slow. "Sherlock."
"That's my name," Sherlock mumbled, knowing that Aria filled the 'Don't wear it out' in.

God, he looked so lost. This was new, this was too new and she didn’t know how to fix it. She needed so badly to fix this.
"Sherlock." Take it slow. "Sherlock."
"That's my name," Sherlock mumbled, knowing that Aria filled the 'Don't wear it out' in.
Sherlock rolled his eyes into another dimension. “Aria, please.”
"You know, if you don’t tell him, I will."
"Tell me what?"
Aria turned around to find John holding out a mug of tea, eyebrows leaning to emphasize his question.
"Oh no, not you. Someone we met on the streets. I was telling Sherlock to tell him where he is now," she lied, taking the mug. "Thanks."
Sherlock thought it best to stick with the lie, “You know I usually used him for cigarettes, there’s no reason to bother with him now.”
"He seemed fond of you, though. I think it might do him well to see you again."
"Of course he was fond of me, I-" Sherlock cut himself off there, it was best not to get into that with John right here. "Anyway, enough about him."
Aria smirked. Good place to stop, Sherlock.
"Well, Sherlock. I’ve got work. You two will be okay?"
"Yes, John, you can leave the kids to play."
Apparently Sherlock’s version of playing involved sitting and staring, because that’s all he did while John was gone. Aria decided that made that a good time to take a very thorough shower. She stole the shampoo from his bathroom and used the shower in 221C.
Sherlock didn’t know where to start, so he decided not to. Aria usually started these on her own.
Aria didn’t know where to begin. She wanted to know everything about his life since she left, but she didn’t know where to start. But she knew if she didn’t say anything then nothing would be said. She took a bunch of Sherlock’s clothes from his room and put them on; her own were still dirty.
Sherlock sat in his chair, staring into the middle distance. His world had been flipped on its head, but it had been flipped before, so now he was standing normally? Who knows, really. The one thing he knew for certain was that he was metaphorically dizzy.
Sherlock rolled his eyes into another dimension. “Aria, please.”
"You know, if you don’t tell him, I will."

"Work?"
"Yes Sherlock. Work. At the hospital. Because I’m a doctor. Which you know. How long have we lived together?"
"I knew you wanted to be a nurse, but I've never heard of a homeless doctor. Where do your priorities lie?" Sherlock asked with a smirk, knowing how hypocritical he was being.
Sherlock rolled his eyes into another dimension. “Aria, please.”

Sherlock rolled his eyes into another dimension. "Aria, please."
Sherlock felt like he’d hung on a bit too long, so he coughed subtly and withdrew. Not too much emotion for one day.
"So. Seeing as how I have no things, I suppose I’m done moving in."
"Blink of an eye." He looked around awkwardly, "so…."
"Do you have any food here? I haven’t eaten in a while."
Sherlock barked out a laugh, “John’s going to love you. I’m sure we do have food, I believe the things I am meant to eat are either in that cupboard,” he pointed backwards without looking, “or somewhere in the fridge.” Aria went into the kitchen and Sherlock caught her shoulder, “Ah, um, please don’t touch the toes.”
"Wouldn’t dream of it."
Some five minutes later, as Aria was searching for a spoon, John decided to make his reappearance.
"Hello."
"Hi. Where are your spoons?"
"Drawer next to the sink. Why?"
"I found a can of soup and now I’m eating it. Is that a problem?"
John chuckled, “Oh good, you can actually feed yourself.”
"Back in the day I was the one nagging him."
"Really?" John asked with a smile, not really needing an answer.
"And now I’m the one who needs the reminding. A bit ironic, really."
"Well at least I didn’t have to threaten you."
"Ah, those were the days. No fags, no customers… no satisfaction and no money. I always won."
John laughed uneasily not sure what to say.
Aria picked up on this, and decided to try something out, “Hey, I could go for a cuppa, would you mind?”
At this John perked right up, “Oh, of course.”
"We’ve got Earl Grey and chamomile. Any preference?"
"Chamomile sounds lovely, thanks."
John set to work and let Aria go back to the sitting room with Sherlock.
"You were right. Eating and asking for tea certainly is the way to win him over."
"He's a simple man," Sherlock said, looking into the kitchen fondly.
Sherlock felt like he’d hung on a bit too long, so he coughed subtly and withdrew. Not too much emotion for one day.
