Appropriation art is approprate in certain situations. Of course, Using someone elses work may be an issue for some but for me I believe it's very creative and useful bringing back past art pieces and making something new of it. I believe pre-exisiting artwork is only devalued if the new work of art has bad intentions or if there is an inappropriate meaning behind it. If there were to be rules. First, There should always be respect when wanting to recreate a pre-exisisting artwork especially if it is a well known piece. Second, if you are able to get consent from the original artist you should always ask. Third, the new creation should not be anything discrimiating, prejudice, offensive, etc.
