ConTemporal is a time traveling storyline-based convention located in Raleigh, NC. This year our convention falls June 27-29, 2014. Our past two years have been steampunk themed. This year we are presenting a worlds' faire complete with , but who knows what will happen in the future?

Dear followers on tumblr

Did you know we have a facebook page? https://www.facebook.com/contemporal That is normally where all the most recent information is posted. But occasionally, the social media minion (aka me) remembers to post on tumblr.

And since I've been ignoring tumblr recently, I'd like to give you all a little more detail than I've given on facebook so far. Consider it a treat!  This year at ConTemporal, a dieselpunk themed military / industrial Worlds' Fair with representatives from all known ports in time and space are coming together to share information and technology. This Worlds' fair will be hosted simultaneously at both Port Raleigh in 2014 and the Chicago World's Fair of 1933. Military representatives from all known Ports will be arriving to give demonstrations in various combat techniques.

The Worlds' Faire is being hosted by the Temporal Engineers Alliance who have recently discovered that strange artifacts that have appearing all over time and space represent a oncoming threat to all reality. What does that mean for ConTemporal and the cast? Only one way to find out- come to our convention!

February is right around the corner, so here's where you can find select members of our convention during February-

AnachroCon! This Valentine's weekend some of us are heading to Atlanta, GA.

Don't want to go all the way to Atlanta this Valentine's? We will also have representation at the Clockwork Ball in Saxapahaw, NC.

The next weekend, February 21-23, we'll be heading up to Mysticon in Roanoke, VA.

Returning literary guest

We're pleased to announce the return of one of our favorite literary guests, Allen Wold! http://www.allen-wold.com/

Allen Wold is probably most famous in the convention world for his fantastic writing workshops. Depending on the convention, they can span multiple hours on various days. Though he caps the amount of people that can attend his workshop, it means that everyone who gets to participate receives a large amount of feedback. If you are a prospective writer who wants advice from someone who has been doing this for years, Allen Wold can be very helpful. And now you know where he'll be June 27-29, 2014.
