How the media depicts the Apollo 11 mission:
Actual quotes from the Apollo 11 mission:
also according to michael collins when the three of them were discussing what neil armstrong should say when he first stepped on the moon, collins suggested armstrong say “Oh, my God, what is that thing?” and then scream and cut out his mic.
Everyone forgets Michael Collins and it’s fucking tragic.

Miles shouldn't be worried about how his parents are gonna react when he reveals his identity. They love him, we know this.
He should be worried about how his dad will react when he realizes his son full on sassed him in broad fuckin daylight and got away with it for days

The Dragon Prince: Mystery of Aaravos
#he really is THAT bitch
I love how it’s the moment where Janai shows her wisdom and compassion as a leader (asking restitution of the architect in building a shrine rather than punishment in death) that her brother looses faith in her. It’s such good writing. Karim and Janai play out the theme of history as a narrative of strength vs love this season, with Karim representing strength as power, traditional and unyielding, and Janai representing strength as love and compassion. Amaya, Janai’s lover, calls for mercy. Karim, Janai’s brother, calls for vengeance. Janai walks a careful line, choosing mercy while still exacting justice. But Karim only sees weakness, only sees it as Janai turning her back on their ways. So this scene plays out the quote from season 2: “these moments of purest strength appear as weakness to those who don’t know better.” All Karim sees is weakness, because he doesn’t know better. But it is in this moment that Janai really begins to come into her own and shows the world what kind of queen she will be
Yes! Absolutely yes, I do, I want to be the Queen of my people. But it’s not that simple: how can I have that, and the life I want with you at the same time?
There is a beautiful upside-down truth, which is that these moments of purest strength appear as weakness to those who don’t know better. For a long time, I didn’t know better. I ask you and your brother to reject history as a narrative of strength, and instead have faith that it can be a narrative of love.
