AUTHORS NOTE ✍️
Hi! My name is Adrian (26; she/her), but I’m imisslaika on Ao3 and halfmoonparty on Wattpad. I started writing fanfiction a little over ten years ago and wrote basically only frerard and kellic. I’m a bit of a serial starter and not finisher, but I did manage to finish 2 kellics right before I basically stopped writing fanfiction and eventually, stopped writing all together after I finished college.
Then, a few months ago, one of my dear friends invited me to an MCR concert next year and I was very much not interested. But then she brought up frerard I think in passing, I was like, hey, maybe I should read one of my old frerard fanfictions. So I did (it was unfinished) but I basically stayed up all night and read it. And I know this sounds super vain, but I was like wow this is good and wow I miss this world so much.
So I decided to finish one of my frerards that I started writing 10 years ago—when I was 16. And I fucking finished it in like, 2 months. I was writing and posting chapters like, every 3 days…it was crazy.
So now I find myself here: starting another new frerard because I simply could not stay away. Here is the description, and I’m trying to update every 3 days or so but sometimes sooner, depending on the length of the chapter. Here is the premise:
It followed Frank in the night like a screaming ghost -that distant, dreadful thing - but he can't quite remember what it was, only that it happened sometime last year, during the fall of '03.
However, when Frank arrives for his freshman year at St. John's College in Maryland, he can no longer ignore it. Whatever he forgot is still with him, pestering, eating away at his conscience.
In the sleepless hours between classes, Frank confides in an anonymous keypal known only as d3adsy, whose messages feel uncannily attuned to his fears.
What Frank doesn't know is that d3adsy is Gerard: his preppy, uptight, transcendentalist-obsessed dormmate.
Together, the two embark on a journey to recover memory, tragedy, and contrition online and in the real world, slipping into a bit of folie a deux along the way.
You can find this story on Wattpad or Ao3 :)
All criticism—good or bad—is encouraged as I am just a girl, at the end of the day. Very happy to be back in this community after such a long break, it feels like I’m home 🖤 — Adrian
