Breathe, Dean tells himself. Stay calm. Cas can’t have disappeared into thin air, he doesn’t have the juice any more. 

The door of the tall locker at the end is swinging open and the keys are hanging from the lock. It’s big enough for someone to hide inside but there’s nothing there. Dean takes a hammer to the other lockers and works his way through them until he’s smashed open all the doors. It’s not the most logical thing to do but it’s one way to channel the rising tide of panic.

His angel—his man, he corrects himself—has vanished.

Art Black Out April 15th

The idea is that on April 15th - World Art Day - artists only post black images to draw awareness to something people take as given: a steady stream of visual content on their dashes. 

We are drawing attention to the ongoing issue of artists being disrespected and their art being stolen or reposted. Let’s make people aware of what the Internet would look like if artists stopped making art because they get discouraged or too scared to post for fear of having their work stolen. 

For one day, let’s flood dashes everywhere with gaping black spaces where art is supposed to be. 

HOW TO JOIN:

On April 15th post completely black images everywhere, on whichever platform it pleases you, and tag them with #artblackout.

Inform yourself on the issue of art theft, reposting and giving credit and spread the word! 

That’s it, well done, and thanks for helping artists to stay motivated to create the awesome content they are giving the world every day.

Art Black Out April 15th

They are waiting for Sam to come back from the bathroom. Castiel is reading a newspaper he just bought at the passenger seat, shaking his head as he reads the news, peering at Dean from time to time over the top of it, Dean is passing the time playing a game on his phone, nodding his head along with the music coming from the radio, filling the comfortable silence along with the sound of Cas turning the pages.

"Cas," Dean says after a beat, reaching inside his jacket, "I bought a pen for you, so you can do the crossword." Because Cas always forgets about pens being necessary to write and necessary for him not to end up staring grumpily at the sudoku he can't do. Castiel takes the pen with a thankful smile and gets to work, Sam gestures at Dean from outside to let him know he is going inside to get something to eat. Dean reaches out, patting Cas' knee lightly before rubbing his hand up and down his thigh.

"Dean." Castiel says after a beat. Dean hums.

"Did you find another case?"

"No," Castiel scribbles something on the paper before looking up at him with a soft smile gracing his lips, "it's just that I love you." It's the first time he says those words.

Dean stares wide-eyed at him, Sam opens the backseat door and the moment is over.

"I will go buy dinner, you both get some rest." Castiel takes the keys when Dean offers them and leaves their motel room with one kiss to Dean's forehead. He comes back half an hour later, he brings pie with him, one of the best Dean has ever tried.

"I saw the sign on the bakery window as we drove past it." Dean gives him a thankful smile around a mouthful, Cas watches him as he enjoys the rest of the pie.

They go to bed, huddling close under the covers, Cas' back pressed against Dean's chest, fingers intertwined over Cas' heartbeat.

"Castiel," Dean says after a beat, eyes closed.

"It's everything okay?"

"Yes," Dean hugs him even more tightly, "it's just that I love you."
