one of my favorite favorite favorite perspectives fic writers use for dustin pushing robin and steve together in season four(beyond his lack of a gaydar and heteronormativity lol) is when they come at it from the perspective of dustin thinking that if steve and robin are, in fact, together, than he doesn't have to feel like his friendship with either of them is less important to them. dustin already, as we know, feels like you "can't have more than one best friend" so it makes sense that, when he feels like robin is becoming steve's best friend instead of him, he would push them into a romantic relationship, however ill-advised this may be. he doesn't want to "lose" this friendship with steve, which he thinks will happen bc. well. abandonment issues.

Why don't you use the DNI for shippers if you don't ship them?

This is maybe controversial but if I'm being so fr. I have never once seen a DNI fully work. And honestly I don't really care that much about shippers interacting as long as they don't derail whatever it was I was originally talking about? Do I like it romantically? No, I don't. They're best friends to me and not anything more. But as long as I don't see them 1) being annoying on my posts or 2) derailing them then I don't see much of a point honestly.

Okay, I don't like hating on something without reason, so for science I am going to watch tales of 85. So far, I have mixed feelings on the animation style (but that's just a preference thing), and very few feelings on anything else. I've heard Dustin is very important which is good because he is my favorite. I will report back with findings later.

They're platonic!! I don't really like them as a romantic ship, the age gap feels like it's pushing it a little bit. I guess I can see how some of my posts could be read that way but they definitely aren't. I like them as best friends.
