//mod:
• As you can see, this is a roleplay blog for Jean-Pierre from Metalocalypse! The owner of this blog is @gabbuhs, where I have basic info about me in my intro post.
• Jean-Pierre doesn’t really talk much in the show, but since this is a RP blog, I’ve worked around it. Instead, I’ll either respond with emojis/emoticons, symbols like question or exclamation marks, or short sentences in red text with the chat font.
• LIKE THIS.
• When I’m out of character, I’ll put “//mod:” before I speak.
• Even after the accident with the helicopter, he still has the same intelligence, personality, and skills. He’s pretty chill with his responses, but it’s easy to weird him out a bit.
• Adding onto that, if I respond to something and seem uncomfortable, I promise I’m just speaking in character. If I do get uncomfortable, I won’t be afraid to speak up about it and set a boundary.

TW for religious horror/trauma
I’d say this is somewhat fanfic-like. I got carried away…
• He’a around 40-50 years old. It all depends on what part of the show we’re talking about.
• 5’4 (I just made that up I have no idea what he’d be realistically)
• He has PTSD from the helicopter and mayyyybe the Catacombs incident. He’s also terrified of the dark, cramped spaced, heights, and loud noises like fireworks.
• He grew up in Paris, France, but later ran away to the US after graduating from culinary school.
• He grew up in an incredibly religious family, causing him to attend Catholic school from elementary through high school. His parents intended for him to become a priest or some other form of religious figure, but he had no interest in any of it.
• Of course, like many other religious schools at the time, the teachers were incredibly strict. This caused a young Jean-Pierre loads of stress, so he learned to cope by wandering around Paris to distract himself from how much he hated going to school. One of his favorite things to do while wandering around was looking at all of the baked goods and food through the windows of the shops. He wasn’t allowed to have any of the fancy foods according to his parents, yet he didn’t even dream of stealing any of it, as he viewed it as sinning. Instead, he decided that one day, once he was far away from the school, he’d become a world-famous chef.
• Soon enough, his classmates found out about his dream of becoming a chef instead of a religious figure, and they bullied the hell out of him for it. Jean-Pierre was still incredibly dedicated to his religion at the time, so he had trouble grasping why he was so hated.
• Despite his devotion, he began to question his beliefs and why the system was built the way it was. However, whenever he found himself questioning it, he immediately shook it all off and thought he was sinning.
• He still had a solid group of friends, but he still wasn’t safe from the teasing, even with them. The more distanced he grew from wanting to become a priest, the worse they treated him.
• One day, when they were all teenagers, three of his friends invited him to sneak into the Paris Catacombs with them. At first, he was horrified at the thought, knowing it was against the law to sneak into a place like the Catacombs. However, after enough peer-pressure, he caved and went in with them. They managed to sneak in during the middle of the night, with everyone having a flashlight except for Jean-Pierre. He didn’t think anything of it, having been too naïve and trusting of his fake group of friends.
• The trip started off normal at first, but he found himself constantly falling behind the group, only able to locate them by the lights from their flashlights.
• He found himself stumbling occasionally, causing him to realize just how tired he was. After walking through an area where water was dripping from the ceiling, he slipped and fell. Right as he was about to get up and come to his senses, his friends had turned off their flashlights and made a mad dash to where they had came in from.
• By then, he was completely lost, yet he knew he’d somehow have to find an exit in order to survive. Of course, there were no search parties for the ~200 miles of illegal tunnels. At times, he had to crawl through narrow tunnels, wade through rank, ste water, and stumble through rooms of sand, all in pitch darkness.
• He wasn’t quite sure how much time had passed, but soon enough, he began to hear distant footsteps and chatter. In pitch darkness, it’s common to develop auditory hallucinations, yet he was sure these were real.
• Despite his malnourished and near-crazed state, he rushed to the source of the sound, tripping and falling at the feet of four unsuspecting visitors. Unable to believe his luck, he grabbed onto the leg of one of them, sobbing and seeming to beg for forgiveness.
• Of course, Jean-Pierre was speaking in French, while the tourists were American. They didn’t understand a word he was saying, yet they were certain that they needed to take him with them back to the surface.
• He was never the same after being stuck so long. He was able to finish up high school and college, though he seemed to be in a trance at times, as if he was stuck in those horrid tunnels all over again.
• The bullying only got worse after the week he spent down in the Catacombs. He was already viewed as an outcast, so the drastic change in his personality caused him to be seen as even stranger.
• Soon after, he found himself beginning to abandon his faith. It had been a group of rowdy tourists that saved him, not the deity he had given his life to. However, he slipped back into the holds of religion after joining Dethklok, viewing the band as his gods, which is why he’s shown to be holding rosaries and praying to the Klok in his debut scene.
• I probably should’ve mentioned this before, but he played piano as a child. After the Catacombs, he lost all motivation to play, but attempted to learn again after the helicopter incident, even though he was missing fingers from it.
• I’ll add more soon!!
