Are you the Keymaster?
Experimental, Post-punk musix on a Monday?! YES.
Come to The Tannex on Monday night for some post-punk music to kick off your week with Collate from Portland, OR! Goddex + Collate + Ryan Dennison Experimental, Post-punk musix. @ The Tannex Monday, October 15th $5 - $10Â
Collate (Portland) https://collate.bandcamp.com/ âCollate are a simmering & often sparks-sputtering modern post-punk trio, all right angles and sharp turns, with their chaos & often uptempo blast restrained only by the very loosest of leashes. Fans of bass-driven, ear canal-cleaning agitprop from the likes of the Au Pairs and the more contemporaneous Household will find much to crave here. It's a real treat to see them finally capture that dissonant, formerly tape-only sound on lovely, wide-grooved 12"EP vinyl."Â

The Tannex and Corpus Arts team up!
THE TANNEX and CORPUS ARTS join forces to bring you a big night of rad sounds. OCTOBER 13! Â
Diatom Deli&Ordinary Things&Alonerly&Lil Lavedy& Ermine.
This is a joint show between the Tannex and Corpus Arts. Early show (7:45 - 10) at the Tannex (1417 4th St SW) and late show (10:30-???) just down the street at Corpus (123 7th St NW).
Diatom Deli comes to New Mexico from Tennessee. Albuquerque is the second stop for this artist who made an appearance last night in Taos.
Sometimes we deal with artists who book at our spaces not knowing how close they are in proximity. Rather than hose each other, we decided to take advantage of the opportunity to not only experience the experimental soundscapes of Diatom Deli, but also their DJ jams, too.
Tannex early show: Diatom Deli + Ordinary Things + Alonerly Saturday, October 13th 7:45-10 $5-$10
Corpus late show: Diatom Deli DJ set + Lil Lavedy + Ermine Saturday, October 13th 10:30-??? $5-$10
Come to both shows at a discount! Ask us at the door...

Coming to The Tannex on September 29th! Have a listen . . .
LINQUA FRANQA + Cthulha + Ermine+ SanĂ Scarves The Tannex September 29th 7:45pm $7-$10 LINQUA FRANQA is the hip hop project of Athens, Georgia-based linguist-turned-legislator Mariah Parker, whose passion for social justice and scientific fixation with hip hop language are obvious in the intricate, self-aware rhymes she interweaves with boom bap beats. Parker holds a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Georgia, where she now pursues a PhD in Language and Literacy Education. Her lyrics, garnished with haunting neo-soul hooks, tell unflinching tales of chemically-induced heartbreak, reproductive justice, racial politics and feminist swagger, and longtime hip hop heads will hear echoes of nineties New York underground in both her playful vocal delivery and piano-centric, classic R&B-inspired compositions. In the wake of a critically acclaimed first album and narrowly-clinched election to the Athens city council earlier this year, Parker has garnered the attention of CNN, The New York Times, Teen Vogue, National Public Radio, Al Jazeera, Afropunk, Blavity, The Hill, The Root, Impose, Performer Magazine and others for her outspoken commitments to racial and economic justice and her electrifying live performances, which call listeners to self-reflection and critical action in their lives and their communities. https://www.facebook.com/linquafranqa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsh2prKAmtU https://www.npr.org/sections/world-cafe/2018/03/22/596074763/on-repeat-world-cafes-favorite-discoveries-at-sxsw-2018 Cthulha (ABQ) https://cthulha.bandcamp.com/ SanĂ Scarves (Galup) https://soundcloud.com/saniscarves Ermine (ABQ) https://ermine.bandcamp.com/
