#yes the journal factory did explode #not sure why but today i woke up thinking abt why men in my life like ruining annual celebratory days for me #first it was being woken up by a break up text out of nowhere on christmas eve during a family vacation in the tropics #so i spend the day crying and sulking when i should've been enjoying the beach then finding out the cheating over the next few days #next is a guy who started getting distant with me on my birthday and texted on the very last hour of my birthday #it didn't ruin my birthday entirely but i'm offended that he would pick that exact day to do a 180 w his behaviour #is the next guy gonna ruin thanksgiving or something? is this some kind of sick coordinated effort?#should i always ensure i'm drastically single around special days?#is a summer fling truly the best because there's not really any special days during those months for me? i believe so #i refuse to believe these men are so stupid that they don't know they're being rude on celebratory days #they absolutely know and choose to be like that #and they're 'too scared they'll hurt you' to communicate anything earlier #so instead they hurt you in a worse more memorable way by communicating nothing and leaving you guessing in the dark #worst part being ik for both these guys it would be/has been useless to confront them with this #the selfishness and lack of emotional intelligence is actually kind of insane #anyways
