So quick little catch up: Beach Goons are working on a split w their Canadian homeboys Freeks !!! Ayeee they created a soundcloud for all you that prefer that site. Also I know the boys in Fake Tides have been working on new stuff and if you aren’t doing anything November 13th head to Goodbye Wind Cave & see their set along  w SHIVS,Shady Francos, Bad Kids & Mint.

beachgoons covered the very own Spooky Black. Without U is probably my favorite, maybe I’m a little bias bc it’s one of my favorites by Spooky. It’s a little different from the rest of the album but because it’s a cover OBVIOUSLY. It being a cover though the boys made it their own and captured the song perfectly. The vocals, the drums, the bass, the everything in this song is EVERYTHING. CRY WITH ME AND DEDICATE THIS TO YOUR LOVED ONE, or sing it to your dog and stuff. Also don’t forget to actually check out Spooky because he’s awesome. I hope he is okay with this cover because this is fucken awesome.

This weekend, Che Cafe! I wish I could go but unfortunately I have to be responsible and go to work. But trust you DON’T want to miss deathlenstheband or The Soaks. I first saw The Soaks when they opened up for the frights and under the name Grand Tarantula. They have such a heavy garage punk sound to them. That show I left remembering their set the most. My first time seeing deathlenstheband was a warehouse show in Barrio Logan, The stronghold. Now that is the most energetic set of your life. So many bodies bopping around, kids singing at the top of their lungs. It’s pretty rad.. On top of they are such cool guys. Got a chance to hang out with them and take them to get some burritos and other mexican goods. So anyways San Diego punk kids, surf punk, kids who just enjoy cool ass music do not, DO NOT MISS the show this weekend at the Che. Trust me you won't want to!
