Keroro Movie 6 Opening âKERORO MARCH RETURNSâ (AKA âKero! to March Returns Againâ) Lyrics Translated!
And hereâs new song number two! The fifth rendition of the classic first opening theme! Now sung by ano and Soshina with a remastered marching band arrangement.
For the translation, I did play with the words a bit to try to squeeze some rhymes in especially since the song is supposed to be funny. In case you want to check the lyrics in Japanese yourself, you can find them here. Dedicated fans will notice lines from multiple older versions of the song mixed in with the new lyrics! Iâll also leave a couple of translation notes at the end since thereâs some lines that require a bit more context.
Three, two, one⌠Fire!!
Kero! Kero! Kero!
Invade the Earth for the first time in a while
Ke-kero kero!
When I remember to bring my umbrella, itâs sunny for miles
âHey there!! Weâre back in action for a bit!!â
The rice is finished cooking, but the curry is burnt
They had no more stock of the clothes I want to buy
I canât pay on my phone âcuz my balance is dry
Keronâs also fun for newlyweds
But it wouldâve been cheaper just to buy dinner instead
Ano! Ano! Ano!
Launch our attack from atop a conveyor belt
A-Ano Ano!
A drop of ramen splattered on me the day I wore a white shirt
âAll troops, attentionâŚright! No, left!!â
I want to be hated, but it turns out Iâm beloved
âBeing popular is a pain!â
I donât really need this, but I canât throw it away
Even if someone else wants it, I donât wanna say goodbye
Oh, Keron, air out all of your complaints
Everythingâs so manufactured, space and time have gone awry
âSoshina here! Here I go!â
Freakinâ hot blood courses through our body parts
A fighting spiritâs carved into our hearts
Bring home the victory forevermore, we are Planet Keron
Freakinâ hot blood courses through our body parts
A fighting spiritâs carved into our hearts
Bring home the victory forevermore, for our precious planet!
We are Planet Keron!
âAll troops⌠Sorry, but donât stop moving!!!â
âUuugh! What the hell was that?!â
Gero! Gero! Gero!
Shout to the heavens! A war cry louder than a yawn
Ge-gero gero!
I rushed to get the phone, but when I picked it up, it was just a robocall
âFrom today on, the Reiwa Era shall be the Keroro Era!!â
Iâm waiting out the rain with a rain-go-away doll
Sparkling stars, spilled food like stardust, five stars I see
If youâre making fish broth, use those tiny dried sardines
Keron is the best planet in space, maybe
Ah, five minutes from the station is actually fifteen!!
Well then, soldier, thatâs a job well done!!
Kero kero! Kero! Keâ
Ano!! âThat wasnât itâŚâ
âYou ruined it!â
TRANSLATION NOTES:
1: The "freakinâ " part in the Soshina solo section might seem random, but that was because this part is almost copied word-for-word from the original Kero to March besides the addition of the word ăăŁăĄă which is a very casual intensifier i.e. "extremely." My interpretation is it's supposed to make the part sound a bit cruder.
2: In Japanese, the "rain-go-away doll" is teru teru bouzu, a doll that looks kind of like a little ghost that's hung outside doors and windows to keep away rain. The joke is that putting one out while it's already raining would be too late, therefore the concept is ironic.
