Happy pride! What better way to celebrate than a drawing of Howard Lawson?

Redloch South is a story written by Maria and I, following the criminally active, gang-infested city of Redloch South. As a detective working for the RSPD, Howard is in charge of investigating and hopefully putting a stop to all this organized crime— their current focus is weeding out the Macaw, a group of money-launderers rumored to be doing business in a local convenience store called Griffin & Griffin. This mission proves to be a little trickier than Howard anticipated— between an enemies to friends to lovers arc with their case partner Oliver Martin, ever more dangerous gangs such as Flock entering the story, trouble at home and theater rehearsals every evening, Howard certainly feels like they’ve bitten off more than they can chew.

Fun fact: All the characters in Redloch South are based on BIRDS! Howard’s design is based off the bearded vulture!

Glenn Galligan is a dentist from Maryland in the 1950s! Despite being a bit of a local celebrity, Glenn is quite mysterious. What happened to Susan Galligan? Why does Glenn always cover his face and hands, even outside of work? And, if he were to remove the mask and gloves, where did all those scars come from? Glenn has a terrible secret, one he is too afraid, distraught, and ashamed to tell— not even to his nine children.

Meet my newest character, Johannes Dautel!

Father Dautel serves as a priest in a Dutch double monastery in the 1910s. He’s very kind, very knowledgable, and takes his faith very seriously, happy to serve the monastery in any way he can (particularly the nuns, to whom he is always respectful). Though he’s lenient and forgiving, he’s never a doormat— his decisions can never be swayed by anyone but the Abbess, but fortunately he acts with the best intentions. After a nun named Doutzen (@mirrbutt) confesses that he’s a trans man, Johannes begins falling in love with him— finding himself questioning both his sexuality and his vows at the same time.

I love Johannes dearly and I’ve only had him for a few days. I hope you love him, too :)
