I’m not sure if I should be worried or not.
That depends, how afraid are you of needles?
Luke?
I have kind of an odd request.
Exams mainly. But I like learning everything I possibly can about the world. You should try it actually, it’s more beneficial than one might think.
I agree, I spent most of my childhood with my nose stuck in a book. So much that my parents actually tried to get me to do other things.
You know, I don’t know if you do want to hear this one. It involves fake blood, sex and I’m pretty sure I remember one of those hideous clown masks being there somewhere.
I’ll be there.
Now I know I want to hear it.
I think that’s quite popular, and it’s scary.
Scary?
That’s alright—I don’t mind. On the west side of town. It’s pretty quiet, or so far anyways.
New area?
I could definitely be a life coach, I’d have no problem making sure you sleep.
You could quit the coffeeshop and do it full-time, I'm sure you'd have a lot of clients.
Ah. What are you researching?
You would be surprised. A lot of people like to drink socially or drown their problems with the bar’s finest beer. These days, especially.
The history of lemon farming in Argentina, what do you think?
You're right, that does surprise me, although I'm pretty sure it shouldn't.
I understand that, Ellie. I know. But if we try to get everything done at once we’ll accomplish nothing. I never said we’d exclude everyone else, of course we can figure out how to get rings to the rest of the town too.
Fine.
We need to make some sort of timeline. I'll let everyone else to know to come over.

Ellie: I found something.
Peyton: So are we meeting up?
Ellie: My place, please.

Ellie: What are you up to?
Brandon: Reading.
Ellie: That sounds fun, reading what?

Ellie: I found something.
Annie: Oh? What is it?
Ellie: A spell that can help us against possession, I'll tell you everything when you get here.
Ellie…there are people in this town that matter a lot to me, too. I grew up here, I’ve watched the people I love live and die here. I think I might be in love with someone who isn’t in the group of people I just gave you. So please don’t think that I’m trying to say that the others don’t matter, or that I don’t care about them or think they’re unimportant. But right now I have to prioritize the targets and those of us who can help. After that’s been done, then we work on everyone else. The faster we move, the better. I’m not saying we need to wait days, alright? The second we’re done getting the rings spelled for the main groups, we get started on everyone who matters to us. I don’t want to make this call either…but I have to.
I'm sorry, I know how I must have come off. I'm not trying to make it seem like I care more about this town than you do, that's not the case. You've got vested interests here, and being able to separate your emotions from your rationale is a an asset. But the thing is, you don't know who is a priority to be a target. Lucas works at the bar, do you know how easy it would be for a demon to possess one of his customers at night? When the Grille is empty, and everyone else has gone home, and this one lonely guy is stuck with Luke around for last call? When it happens, we don't know for sure that the ones we're expecting are going to be who it happens to. We can start tomorrow on rings for the groups you've outlined, but can we just- Can we try to figure out a way to get the whole town done while we're at it?
Adding sleeping to it might be a good idea.
You sound like a life coach.
Sounds like you should buy some ear-plugs to drown everything out.
Good advice, Andrew.
Where are you staying, by the way? I've been complaining about my neighbors but I haven't bothered to ask about yours.
You’re looking at her. It was an auspicious occasion.
You read the dictionary on an auspicious occasion? What's the reasoning behind that?
