Grateful to be a part of the Daughters of the Desert project. This vibrant community of desert women takes my breath away.

Blade Runner was considered a critical and commercial flop when it was released in 1982. Over time, it developed a cult following and took its place among the pantheon of great science fiction films.

A very good album, this, with much to recommend it. Comparisons to Blondie aren't far from the mark, there being a similarity in timbre and delivery between Debbie Harry's voice and Cooper Gillespie. Recommended.

Cooper captured by Renee Silverman at Bar Sinister.
"The band sounds like Heart and Blondie’s love child, conceived via in vitro fertilization by shoegaze, and raised across the street from a cemetery where it spent its formative years playing alone amongst the head stones, wondering where lovers go after they die...I could pitch the intricate ideas and sounds at work in Mad Planet. I could mention that front-woman Cooper Gillespie’s thunderbird bass and shiny gold leotard is one of the boldest on-stage outfits parading through the LA scene today."
