Cooper followed her to the back deck, taking in the air. People were out in the back yard, dancing and drinking and Cooper watched them. His eyes moved back to summer as he gave her a smile. "I'm really glad you came tonight." He told her, doing his best to not slur his words. He just wished he would remember most of tonight tomorrow

Ryan rolled his eyes, "she thinks she can do whatever she wants, she needs a wake up call. Maybe cam kicking her ass will help." He said taking the beer from cooper. Cooper looked to summer drinking the water. "I cant. Summers coming!" He said smiling a bit drunk now

Ryan nodded. "She's fine. Josh and bella are home with her now. He's just pissed at taylor. She's been cheating and he's mad he didn't believe everyone sooner." Ryan said looking to Cooper who had found a new drink and was talking with amber, a friend of taylors.

Cooper was drunk. He didn't mean to get drink but with everything happening it just kinda happened. Ryan was doing his best to keep him from regretting anything later, including keeping girls away and giving him water between heavier drinks. Cooper looked up from his spot on the couch giving summer a smile, although sloppy smile. "Hey sumssss." He said with a grin, Ryan sighing handing him another water. "He's wasted. Him and Taylor fought in front of alyssa." He explained o summer. "Cooper hates fighting in front of her."

as cooper and ryan packed up his room, they talked about the game. he knew ryan wanted to ask what coop planned to do about taylor cheating but in that moment he didnt want to think about it. though that didnt last long as taylor showed up. ryan headed out with a shrug as cooper kept packing, taylor accusing him of more shit than he ever thought possible. it wasnt until she accused him of cheating on her with summer did he snap. he went off on her and threw it all back in her face, only stopping when alyssa came in to the room. cooper broke up with taylor, ignoring her begs of not before she left angry. cooper hugged alyssa and put her back to bed before he checked in with josh and headed out. arriving at the party he grabbed a beer and headed to find the team,

cooper showered and changed before heading in to the weight room with the rest of the team. as they sat and listened to the meeting, cambrie sent him pictures of taylorwith some guy while the game was still going on. cooper felt sick to his stomach as he closed his phone. after being dismissed he met up with ryan and showed him the pictures before they headed to his coopers, starting the pack up his room, brent and tucker joining after a while

Cooper shrugged at her attempt. At least she was trying. "I don't know. I guess we will see." He said with a sigh. Hearing her he nodded. "Of course. Why wouldn't i?" He asked curiously, only looking away from her when he saw taylor. He sighed annoyed before turning his body to summer again. "I should shower. But text me and let me know okay? I want you there." He said softly before he headed into the locker room, joining the meeting

Cooper told the guys to go ahead, all complaining about getting a shower. He hugged summer back before he shrugged. "It went okay. I didn't get early admission but there's a chance." He said not wanting to voice that he didn't even get that, that he didn't get Columbia at all. "Thank you for everything sum. Really I am glad you gave up time to help me. The guys and I are headed to a party at josh somethings house after this. You should come." He told her giving her a smile

Cooper and the team ran through the chant, cheering as they did. It was an amazing feeling to know they kicked some ass with scouts there. Cooper let his eyes scan over the crowd, telling himself he was looking for taylor but really he was looking for summer. He gave her a smile when he saw her, though it turned to a frown as coach called him over. The moment he had waited on. Ryan walked with him, claiming he had to grt something from his bag but both knew it was to calm cooper. The scout told him while he did great, he wasn't where he should be for Columbia admittance. Everything around him stopped as he smiled and shook the guys hand before he headed to the dugout sitting, brett joining. "I think I'm fucked." Cooper said with a laugh as they all grabbed their stuff and headed to the locker room, ready to hit up a party after to celebrate

As the game continued, cooper did his best to stay focused. but there was so much going on in his head that it was useless. Columbia sent a scout and f rom the looks of it, it wasnt good. as he stood on the mound in the final inning. they were only up by one, 2 outs and a run on third, cooper was stressed. he could tell brett was starting to notice and called a time to have a meeting at the mound. cooper watched as ryan and brett came over, though his eyes scanned the crowd, stopping when he saw taylor flirting with some pun from their science class. “forget her and focus for one more pitch. its a full count. you know you can do this.” brett said as he looked to his best friend, cooper looking back to brett before he nodded. “all star semi finals, full bases, full count final pitch. lets throw the fast curve.” cooper said smirking as brett agreed, ryan laughing. “they are in for it now.” ryan said as they hustled back to positions. the ump called play and cooper smirked as he nodded to bretts signals, the pitch was tossed but all cooper could hear was the cheers as the game ended, they won by one.

Cooper tried to focus on the game but there was so much on his mind. Summer, taylor, the scouts, his talk with coach, autumn. He knew he needed to shake it off and by the fact that he threw a ball, he had to focus. By time they were up to bat, he was nervously undoing and redoing his batting gloves. He made his way to the batters box hoping he would be focused enough for a hit. With 2 men on base cooper focused as the first pitch was tossed, a ball. The next one came and he swung, his bat making contact. He didn't wait to hear anything as he took off, coach yelling for them to all go, the ball landing far out in left field. Cooper ran sliding into third, smirking as he stood up, the score now 2 to 0.

Standing in the locker room they ran through their rituals. The moment they were silent cooper could feel the tension. Everything was coming to him, the stress of everyone else, the fesrs, the worries. It was in that moment he knew they were ready. He nodded to Ryan and brett before they turned and led the team out.
Standing on the pitchers mound he held the ball nodding at the signal from brett. He scanned the crowd eyes stopping on summer for a moment before he threw the pitch, the game starting.

Cooper and Ryan talked plays with coach, agreeing on a few new ones they wanted to try out. As practice ended they headed to the locker room, cooper stopped to talk to taylor for a moment. He gave her a quick kiss before he headed to the locker room changing into his uniform. After they were all ready they started their before game rituals, cooper in the zone

Cooper and Ryan called out drills to run as they warmed up. As he saw the other team get there his nerves kicked in. Brett called his attention to coach, cooper running towards him to start the practice, his mind on the game.
