As for the thing with Muneuji's father arranging to be taken by aliens rather than being abducted… I didn't expect it but I'm not all that surprised since the "was my father smiling?" line from his first novel was quite notable (to the point they bring it back in his 1.5). I initially thought that line was in reference to how in The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, Princess Kaguya forgets her affection for the people of earth as she's adorned in a feather robe and taken back to the moon. I thought the same happened to Muneuji's father…
And I still do, just over a longer period of time, because I once saw someone theorise that Muneuji's helmet is representative of Princess Kaguya's feather robe, which makes sense looking at the timeline - you can infer he became more distant after receiving his helmet, and we know his father ALSO wore a helmet all the time
…Of course, there's also the matter of his father NOT going to the moon, but rather Proxima Centauri… but I still think it's worth considering
Muneuji's 1.5 is seriously so cute… rip to every other character my oshis doing juuuuuuuust fine 😊 ignoring that one thing 😄
Anyway I'm glad the story was so Miki focused, she's so important and it was nice to get this all out in the open… glad it was confirmed that she and Muneuji look like their respective fathers too like I already figured but it's nice to get confirmation. Kinda feels like it's playing with fire to name your daughter 美姫 when your surname is Kaguya but she IS a beautiful princess so I understand. Also cute how it kinda matches Shiki pronunciation-wise… Miki and Shiki… friendship :)
And of course Day2 were cute as a whole but that goes without saying. I liked Akuta's little part especially it was so sweet… it'd be nice if all Day2 1.5s feature the whole group though that is partly my own personal satisfaction speaking lol. But even if they don't, I'm glad Muneuji's at least featured all of them because the bonds he's formed in This World are very important to his character as a whole and that's sort of like the underlying thing of the whole 1.5 since his sister is the biggest representation of that. And I loved all the muneushi but that also goes without saying lol
its so over for us isn't it. Its literally over. (muuchan . .. . . . )
It's so dire I feel like my brains slowly melting from excitement and dread. And having the announcements spread over so many days is NOT HELPING!!!! But so far it's literally everything I wanted and more… I fear the story may be fatal for us…… idk if you play the game or just read stories but good luck if you're going for him 🫡 the chibi outfits are going to look so awesome
personally find it really interesting that 99/og kinari is associated with blue fire while 55/android kinari is associated with ice and cold things too
they're both blue(tm) but in very different ways :o
ppc ala chii + sympathy lily spoilers under the cut!
(i translated one line but my jp isnt that good so, please keep watch for a better translation!)
"I can still recall that unsightly, crimson red lipstick that my mother was wearing that day. But..." (from sympathy lily.) (prior context to this, his mom took him to a circus once as a child, with him thinking that he's finally allowed to play. that's not what they were there for as she was instead having a meeting with the ringleader for business. mind you, he's the business deal here. not a very good memory!)
(from ppc ala chii) translation from aurora!

kuguri seems to associate his mother with crimson (or blood) red as a recurring theme. even with it being his circus ssr scr's main color for the costume just felt like a final nail in the coffin.
red in color psychology is commonly associated with positivity and happiness, passion and excitement. a strong, powerful hue, that can be overpowering at times. which drives in further the negative impressions kuguri has on the color, primarily associating it with blood. (and gore. he does that in sympathy lily too. in fact, the card set we have has changed from something grotesque to what we got. thank tao for this.)
to him, red represents betrayal, the lasting effects of the cruelty his mother had treated him with. it represents violence and bloodshed, just like the very horror story he was put through before.
(if things truly went to his original plans for the PV, the crimson red stained circus amongst the sea of monotonous monochrome surely would make for a spectacle wouldn't it, no? though at the end of the day, it would only serve to recreate how he felt that day in a visual sense. weird way of venting but sure, what the hell.)
bonus: his image color (#DC376E) is close to a pink, fuschia-like color but also red leaning all the same. the apple sure doesn't fall far from the tree, huh? only in this case, at the very least.
