The Juniper Tree (Nietzchka Keene | 1990)

I’m really happy with the way this came out.

Hammering the bronze sheet metal into shape, using a blackener to show the hammer marks then and polishing it was an added touch I needed in my sculpture. The leaves are of course copper enameled, glass on Metal, which is something I’ve been doing for a long time. Enameling allowed me to skip the whole polishing step, but! There comes a time. Polishing is like doing dishes, not my favorite, but worth it.
