The irony of this new breed of self-righteous AI hunters on AO3 is that they're all just copy and pasting peoples fics into AI detectors, which are all operated by AI and therefore THEY are feeding people's work into the algorithm without their consent and in some cases no doubt circumventing the locks people put on to avoid getting scraped...
Don't copy and paste anyone's AO3 work into third party websites, you're not the good guys in this situation?
I drew Draco and Ginny as Rumi and Jinu from KPop Demon Hunters for @cvltists 's birthday and Ginny fest ! 🧡

It was so fun to draw the light in this one!

“They’re trying to convince people they can’t do the things they’ve been doing easily for years – to write emails, to write a presentation. Your daughter wants you to make up a bedtime story about puppies – to write that for you.” We will get to the point, she says with a grim laugh, “that you will essentially become just a skin bag of organs and bones, nothing else. You won’t know anything and you will be told repeatedly that you can’t do it, which is the opposite of what life has to offer. Capitulating all kinds of decisions like where to go on vacation, what to wear today, who to date, what to eat. People are already doing this. You won’t have to process grief, because you’ll have uploaded photos and voice messages from your mother who just died, and then she can talk to you via AI video call every day. One of the ways it’s going to destroy humans, long before there’s a nuclear disaster, is going to be the emotional hollowing-out of people.”

Such gorgeous and stunning art! ❤🧡❤🧡
Not to fan-gate, but... if I see one more Drinny post tagged "fire and ice," I'm going to start believing that some ships literally live off recycling each other's iconic tropes.
Like, no, "Fire and Ice" isn't a decorative accessory you stick on any contrasting duo. It's a trope deeply tied to Dramione—Hermione, the fire: brilliant, passionate, uncompromising; Draco, the ice: cold, distant, internally struggling. It's moral conflict, intellectual tension, the clash of worlds. Not just "lol redhead + blonde."
And it's not just that. The dark aesthetic, the slow and painful redemption arcs, the AU fics where you have to choose between good and family loyalty? Dramione laid the groundwork. It's not an all-you-can-eat buffet for other ships that don't even have an ounce of this complexity in the canon. Anyway. Getting inspired, okay. Erasing origins to make them your own? Nope.
This take could not be more wrong. Sorry but Fire and Ice has been tied to Drinny before Dramione ever thought of it. The Drinny ship was literally called Fire and Ice on Fictionalley since 2001 and we had a whole Drinny fanfic Archive that was called Fire and Ice. It literally exists since 2004 (even if it currently has some technical issues).
So no Fire and Ice is not at all tied to Dramione. And Ginny is obviously fire with her spit fire personality (brave, hot headed, passionate, caring), as well as yes her fiery hair! (And Draco ice with his cool personality but also his hair.)
The dark aesthetic literally has nothing to do with fire and ice and exists in Drinny as well. Like they both betray their families by being together. They both face that internal struggle and have to overcome their predjudices to be together. They both have been touched by the Dark side (Ginny’s history with Tom Riddle and Draco through his family and being a deatheater), so they understand each other on a deeper level than most.
So when we use Fire and Ice for Drinny, it's not stealing. We are using the tag that has been associated with Drinny since the beginning. Dramione isn't even an afterthought.
Also, it's kinda disrespectful to post this under Haru's amazing art.
Well said, copperyheart. The previous poster should learn their fanlore:

Draco x Ginny || Campsite
as much as I'm a fan of the idea of Kirk spending all of TOS ardently wooing and/or pining after Spock, I have to admit that I'm also kind of in love with the idea of him being entirely unaware of his affections -- right up until the moment that Spock is gone, seemingly for good. It works very well pre-TMP, when Spock has left for Gol, but it's especially heartrending during TWOK, after the warp core.
Kirk is slumped against the glass, still pressed to where Spock lay on the other side, as close to him as he could get. He looks as though he's trying to melt through its surface, as though if he simply tries hard enough he'll be able to touch Spock once again, warm and alive - but the wall remains there, and Spock's flesh remains cold and unmoving. When McCoy goes to pull him away, to take him somewhere warmer and quieter and far away from the corpse of his dead friend, Kirk doesn't stand, doesn't pull himself away from Spock. Instead, he looks up at McCoy with wide, desperate eyes, face pallid and cheeks damp, and says, "Bones...? How long have I been in love with him?"
McCoy has never heard him sound so broken, so fragile. He pulls him into his arms, then, and he can't quite manage to say anything except oh, Jim..., because how can he possibly explain that it's been true since the very beginning? How can he tell Kirk just how much time he would have had, if he had only been able to see?
😭😭😭
