Mission Accomplished ► Dante & Cora
He had an apartment and another contract lined up. This time it was a high ranking businessman in Atlanta who’d run afoul of his boss. The man owed more money than he could possibly ever repay, so Dante’s boss just wanted the problem to disappear. As a result, the Hellhound was sitting on a bench outside of Logos watching the man drink cup after cup of coffee. He was a heart attack waiting to happen anyway; Dante would just be putting him out of his misery. Casually leaning on the bench, his attention seemingly focused on people watching, he looked up and smiled as someone came into his personal space. “Afternoon,” he nodded. “Want part of the bench? I’m just enjoying the sunshine for once before it gets cold again.”
Cora was on her way back to the shop after lunch when she heard a voice pipe up next to her. Glancing down at the nearby bench she immediately sensed Hellhound and offered up a smile. These creatures could be ruthless, and she had no intentions of getting on one of their bad sides. "Sure! It is a really beautiful day out after all." Bouncing as she walked, she practically hopped onto the bench next to him and crossed her legs beneath her. Glancing around at all of the people walking past, she found herself wondering what fueled their hurry. She did not discount the urgency in the lives of others for everyone had their troubles, but sometimes she wished she had merely the troubles of a human separated from the Mythic world. Surely that would be simpler. "I suppose the shop can stay closed for a few extra minutes while I enjoy the sunshine. Cora Spade of Spade Electronics, at your service." She turned her body and stuck out her arm stiffly to shake his hand, a friendly smile upon her face.
