“Reasonable. Everyone needs time to let loose once in a while.” He mumbled, feeling like he needed it for himself as well but it probably wasn’t the best time to go around without a care. “Just wondering when he’d show up somewhere i’m at. I can only hide out from the guy that runs this city for so long.”
“Indeed. Let me know if you ever need a drinking buddy-slash-wingwoman. I’m kind of like the female Barney Stinson... only less cocky and a little more chill,” she joked. "Very true... If you’re hiding out from him for a specific reason, something you’re keeping from him, I can promise you it won’t end well.”

“Guess that’s one way to look at it. Why’d you even drink so much?” He asked, getting a water for himself. “Also, have you talked to my dad? I’ve been half avoiding him.”
“I give myself one night ever now and again to let loose, the one night I’m not responsible for the shit that the other vampires get themselves into. I guess I was having a little too much fun and I got carried away,” she admitted. “I saw him this morning, why?”

“No, I wouldn’t know. Every city seems old to me sooner or later,” she disagreed, propping her elbows up against the table as she nestled her chin over her closed fist. “Isn’t that right, Cora? I mean, isn’t that why you burned down that small town of Tennessee just a few decades ago?”
“A few decades? Have you had trouble counting the years?” Cora scoffed. “That was in 1902. Let’s just say I’m in a much better state of mind now. I see you haven’t grown at all, though. Still as snarky and cold-hearted as ever.”

Tilting his head slightly as she turned to meet his gaze, his brow arched with skepticism. “Must’ve been enough drinks to give the average human alcohol poisoning twice over, am I right?”
Cora let out a heavy and exasperated sigh. “You know, it probably was. I just decided last night I was going to let myself let go and I did not let myself to let go that much.”

“Do you really need that?” Julian asked as she through the pill into her mouth, looking at her a little confused. “I mean your hangovers can’t be that bad and they probably go away pretty fast considering..” He trailed off not needing to state the obvious and chuckling as he did. “I don’t even think you could handle being human anymore.” He teased.
“I didn’t think I would, but apparently when you drink enough, what would be alcohol poisoning just turns into a wicked hangover,” she admitted. “I definitely couldn’t. I think I’d fall apart.”

“Far too long,” she affirmed in the same sing-song tone she used prior. Interlocking her fingers as she set her hands out in front of her on the table, her eyes never once left Cora’s as she continued to bore her gaze into hers. “Tell me, Cora, why is it that I’m finding you here in New Orleans? Are you still wreaking havoc like the crazy little vampire you once were?” she teased with the bat of her lashes.
Cora scoffed, not one for the small talk beofre it got a little more intense than just small talk. “After moving around a little more, I decided to settle here in New Orleans. Been here for a while. The city just never seems to get old, you know?”

The sound of a familiar voice caused Madeline to abruptly shift her gaze towards the source of the sound. As the brunette came into vision, the red-headed vampire nearly toppled over. What were the odds? Rising from her current seat, the elder vampire placed the gazette over the table top as she sat herself down across from the brunette, shooing the figure that she was originally speaking to with a simple look of her eyes. Once the two women remained, Madeline trailed her eyes towards the figure before her as the corner of her lips tugged into a crooked grin. “Cora,” she sang aloud. “What a lovely surprise.”
The last person Cora expected to see was Madeline. She nearly gasped when she approached her, and was even more shocked when the redhead chose to sit down. “Madeline, it’s been a really long time, hasn’t it? When was the last time our paths truly crossed?”

“I take it that’s the reason behind your absence at the meeting this morning?” Marcel presumed, interrupting the conversation she was having with one of the newbie vampires as he casually strolled through the gym doors.
Cora gasped when Marcel mentioned the meeting as he walked passed her. “Fuuc-” she cut herself off, abandoning her other conversation, trying to control herself and her quick temper. “I am so sorry, Marcel. It won’t happen again, I swear.”

“Hangovers definitely aren’t fun,” Cora sighed, taking a deep breath as she popped an advil into her mouth and chased it down with some coffee. She hadn’t had that much to drink in a long time, but she was having fun, so she had decided to let loose. “This is why I don’t ever get blackout drunk.”

“Angry drunks are never any fun, and you seem like you know how to have fun,” she noted lightly. Although there was a good chance that the girl knew her sister, she didn’t want to make such assumptions nor reveal her identity so easily. “I don’t recall us meeting before, but I have been told that I just have one of those familiar faces.”
“I’ve learned a few tricks or two in my time on earth,” she joked. “Take life in stride and never really regret much - it’s how you’ve got to live!” Cora told the brunette. “You just look really familiar. You definitely have one of those faces,” Cora smiled as she chuckled gently.
alyssa-hale:
“I suppose it takes two to make such a mess,” she joked lightly, glancing down once more at the mess they created. At one point, she realized that there was nothing else she could do in that moment to salvage her outfit, so she stopped trying to clean up. “I actually expected you to curse me out in a fitful rage, but I was lucky tonight.”
“Yep,” Cora chuckled. “No, I’m not an angry tipsy. I mean, on a regular day, if this had happened and I was sober? I might be a little more than mad. You’ve caught me at a good time,” she chuckled. “You look really familiar.... Have we met before?”
alyssa-hale:
“It’s totally all my fault. After all, I’m the idiot who spilled the drink by bumping into you,” she lightly chuckled as she grabbed a couple of napkins for the both of them, handing a few toward the other girl. “I really do hope this comes out,” she murmured, a bit more to herself than anything else as she dabbed her shirt to clean it as much as she could. “This is what happens when a klutz is around.”
“It’s both of our faults, dear,” she said, grabbing napkins from the closest bartender and trying to clean it up. “You’re not the only klutz here, I can guarantee you that. I can also guarantee that there are definitely people who wouldn’t have been so kind as to stop and help clean up.”
alyssa-hale:
On her first night out, Alyssa had no idea where to even start. From younger teenagers she had compelled, she learned that people her physical age went out to clubs with fake identification cards and illegally drank liquor, though it was nothing new. All of the illegal things people did nowadays was something she herself did before she was enslaved for fifty decades. Entering a club – Nocturna, if she recalled correctly – Alyssa went straight to the bar and ordered herself a cosmo. Unfortunately, the second she got up out of her seat with the drink in her hand, she accidentally bumped into someone. “Fuck!” she squealed as the drink splattered all over her.
Cora had meandered her way into Nocturna, looking for a little delectable snack for the night. She hadn’t come out to party at this place in a few days too long and had decided to take a trip down to the nightclub for the shadowcreatures. “Oh shit!” Cora exclaimed as a drink toppled over on her. “Wonderful,” she sighed under her breath. “Sorry,” she said, examining her soaking shirt. “I wasn’t looking where I was going.”

“Just seems rude to just leave it with a note instead of waiting to give it to them. I normally like serving it with a smile.” Esther laughed, shaking her head from side to side. “But, I guess I could just leave it this time.”
“Hostess much?” Cora joked, laughing a little. “Come on, you’re not their personal servant, they won’t mind I promise,” she said, taking out the notepad from the kitchen scrap drawer she knew all too well and writing a quick note on it for Marcel and Julian. “There. Done. We’re good to go.”

Josh + [OPEN}

Josh had enjoyed being back way too much. He’d gotten back to his normal routine and it felt great though he did miss his vacation. The time he spent away from New Orleans definitely did him more good than bad. Getting to see attractive guys by the pool every day was one of the many perks. In comparison, being back here was a little bit depressing though he just wanted to see everyone who he knew. Davina and Marcel more than most. He sat on the bench of the square in his sunglasses, dressed in a purple and battered button up shirt. His head thrown back as he noticed someone sat by him. He was in a good state of relaxation as the rays of the sun hit his face. “You see what a trip to the Bahama’s can do to a guy? I mean, it was way better than I was expecting.” He spoke before turning to them. “Only downside was that I only got 4 guys numbers. That blows. But, I didn’t get treated like Kim Kardashian or something there. Maybe they thought I was her brother. What’s his name? Rob? Josh Kardashian, god, I feel like if I were a celebrity, I’d be going to be Bahama’s a lot more. Or Fiji. I’d love to go to Fiji.” Josh continued. He really had no problem blabbing away to any random person. “But I’m Josh. Rosza, not Kardashian.” Josh turned his body towards them and offered his hand to shake.
Cora chuckled at Josh’s statements before looking over at him sunbathing, smacking his hand instead of shaking it. “Yes, Rosza, I know who you are, sadly,” she joked. She had known the kid since he had become friends with Marcel. After spending nearly a hundred years with the vampire, Cora knew who was new in this town and who was a familiar face. “You weren’t gone for decades,” she scoffed. “Poor thing, you only got four guys numbers? How devastating.”
