UPDATE: So i’ve been kind of absent the past few days and maybe it’s because i’m getting hella anxious / excited about starting school on tuesday !! i’m transferring from my last college ( 2 years there ) and i’m moving to a university to their film production program which is part of their contemporary arts school ( where i’ll have another 4 years s i gh but also !! ). anyway i don’t think i’ll be going on a huge hiatus because i’m only taking 4 courses ( since i got a shit ton – almost all required –  elective credits done at my last college ) but i’m also not sure what kind of work load this change will bring me. so that being said, i’ll probably be slow with drafts, and of course, queue will stay with 1 post per day.

          ❛ i never said i was an angel, babe, ❜ he said, pressing his lips together tightly, brows raised high. ❛ oh you don’t know what you’ve just done, ❜ he chuckled, taking her phone in his hands. ❛ let’s open the photo gallery ... i figure that’s the best way to get to know a person nowadays, huh ?? ❜

          she’d known he & katie were CLOSE — though what that meant exactly was something she hadn’t dared to ask. it hardly seemed like the RIGHT TIME to be worried about whether or not jake was falling for some other girl. it wasn’t exactly her place either, was it? they weren’t really together anymore. liv had no right to question it. not that it mattered now… katie was GONE & jake was in pain. whatever the relationship had been, her death left jake rattled. slowly she made her way over to him. when he gave no clear sign that he wanted her to leave, she took the chance to lower herself to the floor, sitting  near his feet ( but not too close ). 

     ❛ it is, ❜   she agreed, not entirely sure what he was talking about. either way he was probably right. katie’s death was bullshit, this cordon was bullshit, life was bullshit. 

          ❛ so this is it, ❜ he finally said, head still kept downcast. his voice threatened to shake and cripple under the weight of the hurt that kept him tangled within a plethora of overwhelming emotions. but despite it all, he kept his words firm. he was good at pretending, even when everyone else could see the truth. ❛ this is how we die. i should have know ... shouldn’t have gotten so close, you know ?? ❜ but he wasn’t asking her, not so much as he was simply trying to make sense of something out loud that -- well, didn’t make sense.

          by the END of high school, she hadn’t had many good friends left. most had been superficial — connections for parties more than acquaintances even. jake, kit, & em had pretty much been it for her. parker hadn’t even anticipated how much it would hurt being apart from them for so long & a part of her had wondered IF she’d ever see them again. so with jake there finally, wrapped in a tight hug, she couldn’t quite FATHOM letting him go just yet. 

          she leaned away but kept her hands on his shoulders as she rolled her eyes.   ❛ nah, i don’t think so. i might not let you leave at all. does it still count as KIDNAPPING if you’re over eighteen? honest question. ❜   parker smirked.   ❛ there’s about five things total to show you in this town but how ‘bout we just drop your stuff of at home first. ❜   well…her AUNT’S HOME. she wasn’t quite ready for a possible run-in with kai yet. that was a jar of crazy that jake needed to be prepped for.

          ❛ let me tell you, i won’t go easy. there will be kicking and there will be screaming, ❜ he said, trying to keep a straight face. all attempts failed ( unsurprisingly ) as a smile spread from ear to ear. ❛ exciting, i get to see the birth place of a true LEGEND. that and i’m hoping to get plenty of blackmailing content. ❜
