the way a lot of people perceive bugs is already bad enough but i swear they also just don’t even see roaches as bugs at all -
the way people talk about roaches you’d think they were literal fucking paranormal activity . . . as if my lovely little roach lady isn’t over here in her terrarium diggy digging out a nice little burrow for herself
roaches do in fact do. . . bug things. . . because they’re . . . y’know. . . bugs. . .
This is the best thing I've ever read
Sparky bathing after a fresh molt
Thats their shampoo and conditioner
made some really cool valentines to give to your special someone tomorrow :)
Been a while, oops
Came across a praying mantis the other day, and have become obsessed with them since. They’re so intelligent and observant and the cutest fucking things.
So i painted one :>
Quite proud of it, i like the style i used
Wonderful!
Arizona Mantis - Dec. 20, 2025
It is not very cold where I am, maybe that is why I found an adult Mantis. She was kind, although injured.
I liked one post about bugs and half of my feed is about bugs
Is this a sign to draw bugs 🤔
It is a very big sign. Mainly that bugs are nice, but also perhaps to draw bugs if you so wish.
Bug 🦋
Fun fact.
Praying mantises have five eyes. Unlike humans like me who have two.
respect all hymenopterans (and other unliked arthropods)
ladies, ladies, one at a time!
Can we get a cool fact about triops? If they count as buges

TODAY'S FACT IS
Did you know that the Longtail Tadpole Shrimp (Triops Longicaudatus) is a small crustacean found throughout South America and north into much of the US? They look kinda like a horseshoe crab but much smaller and with two tail tips instead of one. Typically they reproduce asexually but sometimes there is sexual reproduction. Even less frequent (but frequent enough to note) individuals in some populations have the parts necessary to give and receive both male and female gametes. Their eggs are extremely resilient, being able to withstand flashfreezes and droughts, with the ability to wait in diapause for up to 20 years(!) before inviability.
