Are you really enjoying what you're writing if you're not acting out an entire sad conversation that you have yet to write, bringing yourself to tears through it?
CAN U STOP CAN U MAKE HAPPY CHARACTERS FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE
Happy characters are not really happy if they have never experienced sadness.
Even gl ranboo was happy when he saw the sun
hey so um. erm. gl!ranboo's dead in a sense, yes, but we saw charlie die or at least be in a state he probably shouldn't have come back from at least twice. so... has anyone checked the body is still in the box?
or has showfall done what it always does and "recycled" him? maybe he will come back, just not as the ranboo we know...
ranboo with the fishes, done for a dtiys on twitter :D
we can just go
in response to hetch's question - 'it seems the audience has made their decision ranboo. are you ready to hear it?'
ranboo's final words are - 'i don't know. i don't know what i want'
which is poetic because it reflects all the times chat has made innocent choices for him throughout the show. he has never really had the freedom of choice to decide what he wants.
it is also heartbreaking because it suggests in his final moments, he's not actually sure whether he wants the audience to have chosen live or die.
hi so i know itās only been a month but iāve already hit the ryan bergara fourth true crime suspect point of genloss theorising - iām ready to say itās aliens.
there is something so inhuman about showfall. and not only in regards to their cruelty: they just donāt seem to have a clear idea of how humans work. half the food in the cabin seems picked at random or inedible. their shows are all parodies cannibalised from popular culture. hetch describes howĀ āsomething moved inā to the mall, like a parasitic invasion. he also says the idle workers doĀ āwhat the company associates as busy workā, as if someone had programmed to doĀ āwhat professional humans doā with no understanding of how uncanny that came out. this could just as easily represent the disconnect of a gentrifying super rich but its strangeness comes across as alien either way. showfall, or whoever theyāre producing this content for, is decidedly Other from the people it has abducted to use in its shows.
HOW DID I FORGET hetch saying the point of the experiments was to 'decide who in *your world* is worthy of joining the cast' COME ON

the story of lostfield is generation 0 which makes me think itās foundational, even if it isnāt necessarily chronologically first. so itās got to be about what showfall did to the mall, right? this abandoned place full of lost people - people who have lost themselves and people who no one has come looking for. and bigger than that, where have all the shoppers gone? does showfallās influence stop in the mall or does it extend even further - are we already in lostfield?
thats about how it went
they make me SICK
sick and twisted that on the genloss panel, the gang revealed that it was criken's hands pretending to be charlie during the create-a-creature segment. even though that was pure practicality (charlie wasn't there to film) it still makes me think something something hetch was the mastermind since the beginning, even when the audience and characters felt like they were making autonomous choices, his were the guiding hands meticulously puppeteering their actions.
you can pry sneeg, ranboo and charlie are canon friends in generation loss from my cold, dead hands. when sneeg remembers himself with the help of the Bad Hat, he runs to ranboo, links both hands into the chain of the fence to get as close to him as possible, and assures him heāll come back for him. when ranboo and charlie are awake in the mall, they call each other by name and have an instinctive desire to keep each other safe, even if they donāt know anything about whatās happening to them. these three have a history, iām sure of it, and itās heartbreaking that showfall keeps letting them get close and then breaking them apart.
Once they get you, youāre got permanently.
I am more dead than alive linearly and Iām still here like a plastic prop that refuses to decompose. The carousel eats its tail, I am stuck in my own teeth, the candy has long gone stale and when your tongue touches the wall, it comes away sweet with dust.
I am still here. I am a property permanently. At least in that thereās no difference between live or die.
hetch: this is my unethically sourced oc. their pronouns are he/they, their resting heart rate is Fast and yes, that IS blood on his jacket! don't worry, it's not all theirs. what do you guys think? :D
