     But the creature’s body trembled slightly at their own words and turned their head towards the window, betraying their words.

     He spared a glance at them, wanting to say more however the truth was the truth, even if he did in fact still love Ota. He looked back down at his fists again, conflicted and at loss at what to do. Interrogation wasn’t much of a hassle and they decided to let Ota go without any suspicious and simply told him to be careful. 

    Although Hatori didn’t join the interrogation, he stayed outside the door, waiting for them to come out.

Although he already had enough cases on his back, he insisted he take this one even if a rookie could handle this on their own. He decided to ignore the glare and support the other to get into the car.

He let them sit in the back seat together with him as he co-workers were the ones driving. Thankfully they didn’t need an entire ambulance to arrive.

     They went along with it, sitting in silence as they were driven to who knows where. It had been a long day, including a stabbing, so they weren’t in a good mood. Rather, they were in the mood to set someone aflame. Who that would be, it didn’t matter.

He whispered, not loud enough for the others to hear but enough for them to. He looked down to his clenched fists, trying to stop them from shaking. Although he had requested never to see them again, his heart nearly dropped when he saw the victim of the fights was Ota.

He reassured Ota as soon as they showed signs of being awake, although he knew who he was, around his co-workers he had preferred not to.

     “So… Fine then…” They almost growled, but being in a public setting, they held their tongue and slowly sat up. Oh, how it ached. The creature glared silently as they stood, deciding not say a word and instead, gently feel the bandages on their skin.
