“you know when it’s hard to look at the woman’s face and not her rack? i’m having that problem right now.”
“....I wish I knew what that was like. It’s been, awhile since I looked at a woman in such a way.”
hello fam, i am here, and queer, and that’s about it
“The coincidences just keep on piling up.” If it was anyone else, he would have pulled a ‘fated’ line just to be cheesy, but he refrains. At least Will knows where it is. Maybe he’ll get to see his loft if the night goes well. He nods and moves his cane to check the path before him, walking to the side of Will and resting a hand on his arm. “I can’t wait.” His voice is just a bit lower when he speaks, touch lingering as he walks past and on his way.
Will sat in his room at the Cortez, staring at his phone. He looked up at the clock, time only six o’clock. Two more hours. He was just pondering if it’d be wise to call and check up on the other, maybe test and see if he got the phone number down right. He shook his head and went to take a bath, to pass the time that seemed to drag on forever. Why was he both so excited and nervous for this? Sure, he’d never been on a date with a blind person before, but he didn’t care. The way Michael spoke to him was still clear in his mind, playing over and over in his head. Sitting up in the bath, he reached for his phone and entered the number in, putting it on speaker and placing the phone on the edge of the bath.
The silence of their conversation is only broken by the voices and shoes clicking on the ground around them, listening to him put in his number and wondering what it is that is chosen as his ringtone. He’ll figure it out soon enough. Their hands brushing together sends a slight thrill up his spine, smiling and nodding as the time was set. “Sounds like a plan. My loft’s at the High Wind complex not too far from here.”
“No freaking way...that’s where I used to live!” Will exclaimed with a wide smile. “If I had known you were living there, I would have never left.” God, the smirk on his lips was wide as he looked down at his watch before looking back at Michael. “I hate to leave, but I have a flight to reschedule for later this week. I’ll see you tonight.”
“Now you’re really flattering me – so you’re Will Drake. This is quite the coincidence for us to have run into each other.” He’s sure if he saw the man, he would have known. But he takes what he has. Michael takes his phone out of his pocket and hands it over to Will. “I – if you don’t mind, can you put your number in and set up a ringtone for it? You can text yourself my number, but it makes it easier for me to tell who it is when it rings.”
Will gladly took the other’s phone from him, hand lightly brushing against the other’s as he entered in his phone number. He then looked through the phone and smirked when he saw Bad Romance, instantly setting that up as his ringtone before texting Michael’s number to himself. He then handed the man his phone back, gently placing it onto his hand. “So, shall I pick you up at around eight?”
There are still some times where it’s difficult for him to discern what sounds meant what, and the laugh has him thinking for a moment before the offer is accepted. “Fashion week? I feel like I should be honored you’ll choose dinner with me over that. Why are you going to that?”
“Well, none of the male models compare to you, at all. Oh, have you ever heard of a company Drake Fashions? That’s my company, my brand. I was supposed to fly in tonight to watch Vera Wang’s collection, but she’ll understand.” Will’s smile was wide as he took out his phone. “Do you...happen to have a number?”
“I suppose not.” He likes the sound of the other’s laugh and is glad to have elicited that from him. When asked, a shoulder shrugs, fingers tapping along the cane he holds in both hands. “I don’t know, how does dinner sound? Are you free tonight?”
Will was most definitely not expecting this, at all. Eyes went wide for a second before he let out, yet another laugh before he nodded. “Dinner sounds lovely. I was supposed to go to New York for Fashion Week...but it’s a week long.” Will said with a rather soft grin spread across his features.
“You’re making it sound like us running into each other was the best impression I could’ve made.” The corner of his lips curl into a smirk and he tilts his head slightly as a huff of a laugh escapes. “Hope I can change that for a better one.”
“Well, if you hadn’t bumped into me...we wouldn’t be in this situation, now would we?” Will said as a small laugh escapes his own lips as well, slowly nodding his head. “And how do you think you should change it for a better impression?”
“You’re quite a charmer yourself.” Now that he’s heard the voice, he can turn his head in the proper direction to face the man, a grin playing upon his lips. “I’m Michael.”
God, just looking at him takes the designer’s breath away for a quick second. He grunts to himself before smiling right back. “Will...pleasure to accidentally bump into you.”
❝ I didn’t mean to walk into you… usually I don’t go out to new places much, but I had some time and nothing else and it’s just.. busier than I thought it would be. And I’m rambling – I’m sorry. ❞
“No no no, it’s all perfectly fine. Not every day an actual prince charming just bumps into you, out of the blue.”
“ I don’t think your fiance, the Countess, would be too happy about that. ”
“She’s too busy getting pounded by Tristan. Now, come and we’ll find something nice for you.’
“ Wear whatever the fuck you want. I’m not going. I wont have to see you in that clown suit ”
“Wow, that was so funny I forgot to laugh. You’re coming, and that’s final. No questions about it, sparky.”

Well, this was awkward. After many many weeks of trying his best to avoid any sort of contact with Elizabeth’s former lover, it ultimately failed. Eyes were locked onto the other’s as a soft gulp escaped from deep within his throat. He could see why she went for him; handsome, proper, not to mention that the mustache was hot, but Will kept those thoughts to himself. Arms were soon crossed over a broad chest as he decided he ought to be the one to end the awkward silence.
“Well....what a surprise.”

“So, forgive me for asking such a personal question, but it’s a question that I just have to ask before I go insane. Tristan....just how good was he in bed?” The designer asked, bringing the glasses on his face down his nose to look at the other with a, semi friendly grin on his lips. “You know, girl to girl..” He said with a little chuckle before leaning back, eyes never once leaving the other’s.
“ ——— or wondering why your head looks so fucking tiny every time you wear that thing.”
“It’s fashion darling; it makes you question everything and anything. Though if you have such a problem with the garment, I’ll wear something else to the gala.”
