I've been messing around with cat genetics for reasons and realized tigerstar would likely just be black and thought it was funny. I heavily simplified it all so I'm definitely wrong but still.

I've been gone for a while but I'm back with a redesign of Cloudsnap! I started to really dislike my original design and finally got around to creating a new design for them. I wanted a design that's easier to replicate and also one I'm just overall happier with and think this is pretty good.

No clue when I'll finish this since I'm struggling with my sleep a lot and have been feeling really crappy so I thought I'd share my silly goofy sketch.

Cloudsnap is all I think about. Everything I do is for Cloudsnap. I live and breathe for Cloudsnap. I’d sacrifice so much for Cloudsnap.

Seriously though I cannot properly put into words just how much I love Cloudsnap as a character. They’re kinda a cliché but that’s what makes them so good. She reminds me of those OCs in the early fandom that are just pasted into the canon story somewhere and have this epic yet very edgy character arc. The story that has been put together is very well done and xyr character arc is really good. It is kinda hard to piece it together almost a year since Cloudsnap was created and boomed in popularity but it’s very well done. Her motivations are clear, goals are a little fuzzy but it’s made up for, their interactions with other characters are interesting, and everything is relatively cohesive.

The concept behind Cloudsnap is very neat too and I honestly wish the controversy never happened and think it’d be funny if we as a fandom convinced the Erins xe was real. The very notion of managing to gaslight the authors of something about their own books is just way too funny to me. I also think it would’ve served a practical reason too by making it clear the Erins rely on the fandom too much to keep track of things. As an aspiring author if fans of my works managed to successfully pull something like this off on me, I’d learn and find ways to improve while also having a good laugh about it.

Anyways that’s my essay on why Cloudsnap is so so cool and I love them.

I didn't think my first post would be about silly little fighting cats as opposed to original stuff but I got hyperfixated on Cloudsnap so I made some designs for both them and Swankit(Right) and Reedkit(Left). They're my favorite side characters I'm so sad the wiki forgot about them. What a shame. Thank you @cat-soap-opera for bringing awareness to these amazing characters.

I couldn't really find much information about Swankit and Reedkit despite digging around for a while so this is very much my own vision. I like to think Reedkit died right before becoming an apprentice because angst + drawing kittens when they're all wonky and unproportionable is fun.

(ps. None of these characters are canon they're made by the fandom and are open source.)
