Yes of course! The two of them are honestly one of my favorite ships, even if I'm the only shipper. And for me at least, there is a lot about their dynamic that is represented in the stars, the ocean and the moon. Each of these things is vast, yet so lonely. If you've ever been to a beach, or on a ship, or just in the sea (especially at night) you get a feeling of loneliness. The sea feels lonely to me. As do the stars and the moon, especially at night, above and ocean or sea (and for the stars and the moon, it depends on where you are- but on a boat, ship, at sea, they seem lonely). But at the same time, all three of these things are connected. They don't touch one another, but they have an impact on each other. The moon creates the tides, the stars help navigate paths in dark oceans, etc.

This just, reminds me of Maglor and Earendil and how I perceive them. These are two lonely elves who are whether they want it or not, isolated from society. The are confined to the realms of the sea and the sky. Earendil is a star, whereas, Maglor just reminds me of the ocean. And toss in the moon, it's just an ever present object that is always looking/lighting the way.

So, it shows their similarities. Two lonely elves, who were fathers to the same half-elf, who are now isolated from elven and human society. They are so close yet, they can't touch. Not each other, not their fellow elves, etc.

And that's why I just, compare them to the stars, moon and ocean. Each of those objects just represents them, and the isolation of their love and existence.

im really just trying to slowly fizzle out of fandom space in general because it's just so toxic.

i made another twitter to get out of discourse (with literally like the same name lol) and just ended up back in discourse. i was constantly seeing stupid hotd/got takes on my twitter that made me angry and i found myself falling into discourse daily.

on the other end, i had to deal with some really weird silm fans spreading rumors about me and putting words into my mouth. some of them were stalking me because of my opinions on ships , characters and some in fandom racism and i honestly just didn't feel safe.

some of trop fans were also getting on my nevers wrt to begin really weird about feanor, there was some homophobia i saw and toxicity in shipping there as well, especially with galadriel's character.

and then again, i was just dealing with hotd/asoiaf discourse , casual fandom racism not even related to the silm, and people were just mean spirited.

fandom is just such a toxic place so i completely deactivated all my twitters and as of now, i don't plan to really participate in fandom. it caused me a lot of stress and anxiety. i stared my twitter in 2021 - then moved to another one and i really really wanted to have fun but fandom is just soo toxic.

so i don't have a twitter anymore, and i probably won't ever make one again.

Have I shared my Tar Miriel was named after Miriel , Feanor's mother hc?

As in, Maglor tells Elros of Miriel. Maglor would hear stories of his grandmother from Feanor and fell in love with her, through stories if he never met her. So he tells Elros of the tales of Miriel. And Elros carries those stories to Numenor, and Miriel is both a name passed down in his family, and common in numenor.

I just find it quite interesting that Thomas had arranged for Stephen to somehow benefit from Anne's downfall, after years before he more or less evicted Stephen from his home so that Anne could have it. That was certainly something Thomas did on his own - I mean, Stephen being a gainer of the Boelyn's fortunes. He more than likely spoke to Henry about it and put the idea in Henry's mind. Stephen and Henry would've been on terrible terms at this time, so I find it somewhat noble in a morbid way that Thomas is using this opportunity to try to patch things up.

So at a point in wolf hall and bring up the bodies, it is evident that stephen is writing letters to multiple thomases. thomas cromwell, thomas wriothesely, thomas howard and at a time even thomas wolsey. understandably last names are how you can tell the thomases apart but since in wolf hall he hates every single thomas he writes to and sends him letters, can you imagine him getting drunk one night while in France or something and sending a letter to a thomas like, 'I really just cannot stand Thomas he gets on my nerves'.

Okay yes - because historically those two were not only close but Thomas adored Gregory! He loved Gregory so much - the two were constantly writing extremely detailed letters to one another and were always looking out for each other.

They historically had an amazing relationship. I read up somewhere, one of the reasons Thomas did not feel the need to marry anymore was because he didn't really want to start a new family because he had Gregory. He poured everything he had into Gregory.

I hated how their relationship was butchered it made me so sad.
