Post-completion thoughts surrounding Yena's Birthday Animatic project with Slylander & Rykino
Greetings, folks! This has been one exciting week! Time for a quick recap of a project I have recently been involved in. Slylander was the one who came to me with the idea. He's been planning this animatic for ages and when the deadline for Yena's birthday stream was announced, we channeled our inner art team and rushed to work. Slylander did the storyboards and directed the whole thing, and I would illustrate his vision to life via thumbnails (which we later both colored together). However, we ran into a bit of a roadblock with our video editing software and needed a reliable video editor to assist us. This is where my good friend pitched in and helped us finish the project in time, doing a bit of coloring work themself to boot! Special shout out goes to Rykino, you can follow them on Tumblr. In the end, even with all the crunch time, it was such a thrill having completed something fun yet emotionally resonating together.
