Absolutely not! Queer students at Mount Holyoke are still outnumbered by straight students, so you definitely won’t be an outlier. There are also plenty of opportunities to meet boys such as Chapin parties, five college extracurriculars, lectures, etc, etc.

Personally speaking, I didn’t come out until halfway through my first year at Mount Holyoke and before then, I had no trouble with being perceived and mostly identifying as straight on campus. I had queer friends and straight friends and there was a super minimal separation in the activities I did with my queer and straight friends. I went to non-drag ball Chapin parties and Amherst mostly with my straight friends; I had Lesbian Movie Nights mostly with my queer friends. But then we all studied, cried about labs and papers, cried about student loans, practiced becoming wine moms/wives, watched scary movies, ate, cooked, and intensely bonded regardless of who we were attracted to.

tl;dr: The lgbtqia+ community at Mount Holyoke is very proud and, sometimes, loud, but nobody’s going to make you feel bad about wanting the D, girl. Keep doing you.

I visited MoHo this week and now it's in my top three schools, and seeing all of the queer support here on this blog and on campus is huge for me! I absolutely love it there and I hope I get accepted ^.^
