Okay, so I have a crazy idea. It's never explained in the 2011 version of the anime, but Dwun explains several times that thanks to Gin's shortening of his first name, he's had better luck, and one of the most incredible things that's happened to him is that he's found a girlfriend. But who is this person? Clearly not Oby because he's gendered masculine despite his feminine appearance, and so here's my idea: this character of Dwun's girlfriend being just a concept that has no name, no appearance, no personality ......so i created her.

Her name is Nikki, she's a hunter and she loves to travel, so she's not often on Greed Island. Yes, Dwun has a boyfriend and a girlfriend. (Did I tell you I was crazy??) I created this character with the help of my boyfriend @dialingoz , we thought about what kind of person might want to go out with him aha. And BOOM Nikki.

It was totally unnecessary, I know, but I'm just a nerd who likes to respect the lore a little too much aha🤓

I think people are a bit confused by this drawing, to the point of insulting me (wtf?) I think I should have put it in a bit more context, even if the joke is very technical YES it's out of character! It's just my opinion, but I find that most of the characters in the One Piece movies are out of character, so I was like “oh yeh let's go draw my character who's not especially badass laminating the overpowered guy, it's stupidly funny” does it deserve to be insulted? not sure
