You know something? I love how Studio Ghibli gave us the perception that witches were helpful souls who used their abilities and concoctions to make the world a better place. Like, yes! Get rid of the witchy stereotype and let people aspire to be like those witches! The wonderful thing about it, is that in movies like Kiki’s Delivery Service, it gives the world a little bit of magic, but ultimately it gives the message that you don’t have to have magic to be a good person! These witches are just using their skills, their talents, their passions to make the world a little bit brighter - and that you don’t need magic to do something like that.

I really hope kids out there who watched this movie have that magic burning brightly inside of them. To try and help the world around them, using their own abilities and ‘magic’ that’s just being themselves and being kind.
