Because I need to change my mindset about food. Rewarding myself with food is not good thinking. Eating huge portions is not smart.

Because I'd like to wear my hair down without sweating.
Non Weight Goals
Be able to replace my underwear at Victoria's secret sales! Plus sized stores don't sell the type I like.
Fit my awesome doctor who shirt (I have 2 in unisex L)
Sweat less mowing the lawn
Less/no ankle/knee/hip pain
Fit into honeymoon dress (women's M)
Among others that I can't think of right now.

Receiving a 5lb award at the meeting today felt great. Almost to 10 as well. Hopefully next week I'll do a 10lb version!

Day 8
Because the program WORKS!
Week 1 Weigh In
Down 8.2lbs and received my 5lb charm!

Total loss 8.2lbs
I’m still able to enjoy the things I like with moderate changes.
Example:
Pulled pork sandwiches
Old me: 2 toasted buns, cheese on top and bottom, pork
New me: 2 pieces of toast, grated extra SHARP cheddar (sharp for strong flavour, grated because it spreads out easily and is easy to weigh), pork. Eat with fork and knife. 2 open faced sandwiches.
Weekend lunch plus ice cream
Old me: soda, costco hot dog, ice cream (2 scoops because it’s amazing)
New me: water, packed crackers, ham and banana, shared ice cream with toddler

Day 7
Because I need to learn REAL portion control.
Discovered why my sandwich was so high in points. Honey ham. Of course. Should have clued in. Black forest is much nicer.

Because I want to be taken seriously at the doctor's office and not shrugged off for something that's actually wrong, being told "try losing weight".

Because yard work makes me drip sweat and feel gross.

Because I want to stop looking in the mirror and thinking "when did I gain that much weight?"
