what do you think of ereri?
tbh ive been expecting this for a while now & am going to take this time to explain it fully, sorry if this isn’t the answer you wanted, anon.
e.reri for me is a somewhat difficult ship in terms of the fact that levi has at least give or take 10 years above eren ; now, at age 15, i can totally see how this could be classed as p.aedophilia, but at 19+ i can also see why people would argue it could be more than that. personally im more nuetral upon this ship, & i think it has something to do with the s.nk fandom overall.
most shippers tend to use this ship as something sexual, a perfect modernised type ship wherein both eren & levi either are the happiest they can be, or one of them is crazy in love with one another. i understand how this may interest some people, but it’s not a healthy dynamic, in my opinion. these ideas tend to take form of something like erwin, petra, armin or mikasa becoming the bad guys, cause they’re the ones who get in the way of it, & if that’s the type of e.reri you want ? i’m sorry it’s just not for me.
shipping with eren is hard enough for me as it is, because he’s a kid who mainly focuses his life upon completing his goals, he doesn’t like affection shown his way sometimes, when others he physically craves it ( something that’s led me to believe in his bpd as a whole ). this means any ship you have with him tends to end up in something unstable, because he isn’t able to show you exactly how he feels 100% of the time. personally, i can never roleplay levi. so i don’t really know how his reaction would be to something like this ( if someone wants to give imput they can ) but ultimately, i’m sure it’ll be tricky for him.
&, that’s why i don’t rule e.reri out completely. if there was someone who would be willing to explore a relationships including the struggles, when eren was much older than the age he is in canon, & give me more of a dynamic from smut or bdsm ( eren was mentally scarred from that incident ). exploring the more friendly dynamic, or the guidance factors. the ups & downs of a relationship, id be quite happy to play it. :)
