âRegardless, even if you are simply giving me the message, I appreciate it. It was a nice gesture to come here and tell me rather than just coming. â Rose meant every word, sincere in her thanks. The Gems from Homeworld were not bad. No one from this was. They were simply misguided, if anything. Her thoughts served as a self reminder, soothing the initial panic.Â
She didnât match Jasperâs aggressive stance, her hands opened, palms outward in front of her in a sign of peaceful intentions. The other gemâs warning was sharp, bringing her expression down to a solemn smile. There had been many quiet nights spent where she had mulled over this exact worry. A war would hurt many, so, so many. But if she did nothing, it would be another world wiped away, all because of her inaction. The best she could hope for was to end it quickly, before things got too bloody. It was an unfortunate truth she had accepted. âI know. The less lives we lose , the better for all of us. Ideally, I want us all to be on peaceful terms, even if I am elsewhere. âÂ
Clearly Jasper didnât think highly of Earth, not that Rose expected her to. But she seemed curious, in her own way. That in itself was a bit surprising. So, falling to whims, she decides to try and explain best she could, her thoughts.Â
âHave you ever had something you believed firmly in? Only to have something else come along and suddenly make you reevaluate everything? â She starts off in a relatively hushed tone, her words growing in energy and in passion as she continues.Â
âI was happy, working with Gems, helping everyone. And Earth, Earth was something new for me. I had never been to a world prior to us. .. .Itâs all so beautiful, so alive here. It had me thinking hard about what weâve been doing. Just how many worlds like this one have we crushed under our heel in the name of our world? Earth is doing just fine without us.  We shouldnât take it upon ourselves to destroy others so we can be strong. Itâs not our right, not our place. It made me ashamed, quite frankly. If we just tried to understand rather than destroy... we would all be much happier."
By the end of her rush of words, the reverence was clear in every ounce of her being. It poured from her tone, shone from her eyes. She was alive and buzzing with love for this new world and itâs inhabitants.Â
