Hi other fanfic writers, don't ever do this
I wish I could say I'm gobsmacked by such behaviour but honestly I'm so used to people being dead ignorant
This was so terribly rude and don't think I missed how backhanded that last comment on my story was.
"I like that idea because I wanted to do it!"
After telling me I should read your stories instead. Go suck an egg
I'm afraid this is pretty typical behavior for the person who wrote this comment. They've been something of a nuisance to the "Sing" fandom for years now.
To provide some context here, this person is obsessed with Suki Lane. They've written dozens of rant posts on Tumblr and DeviantArt complaining about how Illumination isn't going to be treating her like a main character going forward, and how that's ruined the franchise for them.
They've also written plenty of rant posts and several passive-aggressive fanfics complaining about how she isn't as popular in the fandom as they would want her to be either. However, when people actually do write fanfics about Suki, or give her a major supporting role in their stories, this person still complains anyway that they aren't treating her right because she isn't being shipped with Buster. And all of the shade that this person throws at other fanfic writers over this is more than a bit hypocritical, since whenever they themselves sit down to write a story about Suki, they usually give up on it and abandon it after one or two chapters, and go right back to pestering the rest of the fandom.
Whenever they comment on a new writer's work, they almost never talk about the actual story or offer some actual feedback. Instead, they either try to convince authors to write a specific type of Suki Lane fanfics for them, or they try to promote their own AUs. The way they've treated "Sing" fanfic writers on AO3 has been really rude and really entitled for years now, and despite multiple people telling them this isn't cool, their behavior hasn't changed a bit.
In my opinion, ignoring them would be the best course of action after this.
