6. They’re in the ER.
It took a while to decide who to call, and even longer to dial the number with his shaking fingers. He needed some kind of help, anyway, and someone who wouldn’t be too busy and could come over immediately.
…maybe it was a little mean to assume Shikao wasn’t in the middle of something, but he mostly watched TV anyway, and he could always catch his shows a little later…
“Shikao? Um, this is Opeo, I’m kind of…in the hospital…”
The popcorn was popping when his phone was ringing, the song ‘Guru Guru Gravity’ was heard in his pocket. It took a couple minutes for him to answer, as Shikao was getting his popcorn ready. Hugging the popcorn pack with one hand, Shikao answered his phone with a “Hello?”, only to realize it was Opeo.
When he mentiones the hospital, Shikao dropped the pack of popcorn.
“What?? Oh man, what’s wrong Opeo? Do you need anything?”
Opeo hissed in pain as he felt a sharp pang in his chest.
“Can you come over here? I’m having trouble concentrating…and I have to wait here for a long time…” He wheezed a bit - it was hard to talk, and his voice was getting raspy. There were so many people here, and there didn’t feel like anything he could do…but if he took a moment to rest, they may call him and he wouldn’t hear, and thus be left behind. That would be terrible,
"Alright, give me a moment and I'll go!" He said, hanging up.
The floor was a mess, with popcorn all over the plac, but Shikao didn't have time to worry about that. He picked up the pack and rapidly took all the popcorn and threw it inside. Once that was solved, he got out and zipped towards the hospital, landing on the entrance. After turning hallway after hallway, he found Opeo's room and knocked the door.
