[thinking about what the transition from BW Plasma to Neo Plasma would look like… I do wonder how ghetsis corralled his team members after his arrest (the one he broke free from)

I think that Zinzolin always intended to follow Ghetsis, no matter what happened, but I still think he wad probably left scrambling to adjust to the changing of Team Plasma’s structure. I would say that Ghetsis already had the Frigate up and running as a backup, but I doubt this, because 1) he wasn’t planning on failing that first time, and 2) some of the sages’ quotes (especially Ryoku’s) imply that they’re now pondering what’s left once Plasma had “disbanded”. (I feel like Ghetsis would have had a much tighter hold on the other sages if he really did intend to move onto plan B right away).

I think what probably happened is that the Frigate maybe belonged to Colress initially, or a group that Colress was affiliated with. Ghetsis offered a sweeter deal and Colress kinda… made off with it

But then this makes me wonder what zinzolin was doing during this time. Hiding away? Trusting that Ghetsis would come back and just biding his time? I wonder where he stayed… Maybe phase 2 of the plan was initiated more shortly than expected, so he essentially moved into the frigate right away? We don’t know how long Ghetsis was in prison; it could’ve been anywhere from a few hours to a few months. I really want to know what happened in that nebulous space between BW1 and BW2 Plasma….]

[thinking about what pokemon Zinzolin could have in PoMas, if he was ever added. Cryogonal is an obvious choice but kyurem of course fits too…. Perhaps he could even have a shiny since Ghetsis has the regular one]

"GRANDPA ZIN!" She ran over to give him a hug.

Zinzolin is taken aback for a moment; before he can even process her words, Bee was hugging him.

After taking a moment to regain his bearings, he smiles.

"Oh! Hello, Bee. It's been a while, hasn't it?"

Gently, Zinzolin hugs back, and gives her a pat on the head. The gesture is a tad stiff and akward--like someone out of practice--but genuine nonetheless.

[im sorry guys i know i said i was gonna come back here but i think im gonna disappear again; i had to call an ambulance for a family member yesterday after i found them very sick. things are better and stable and they are where they need to be—in the hospital—but there are still a lot of questions in my mind and im generally shaken up from the events of yesterday. so that being said im not exactly in the headspace for writing at the moment. hopefully i can come back soon for real but i need some time]

[blog maintenance stuff: i updated the rules page a little bit! there haven't been crazy changes to it, but i added a section on fandoms i wont write with (and keep in mind there are various reasons for me not wanting to write for some of the listed fandoms. for some of them it's just a complete lack of interest in the franchise). the about and rules together is very long now since i am a chronic overexplainer, so the important stuff is listed out in the rules.

in addition i finished the info page for the Masters Ghetsis blog. it's pretty much a summary of the events leading up to his appearance in masters. i do have "lore" for his backstory but i think it would be a lot more fun if it was revealed bit by bit instead of all at once :3c that being said, everything needed to actually get that blog up and running has been done. the icons have been created and i am very proud of them hehehe. ALSO asks are finally enabled on that blog]

[new type of scrupulosity ocd dropped for zinzolin where he needs approval from ghetsis for everything. i imagine him taking ghetsis aside one night like "i have a confession..... when i was 5..... i stole a croissant. when i was 10, i swore at my mother. when i was 13 i broke a vase on purpose. is it still ok for me to be a sage. also remind me when are we freezing the entirety of opelucid again?"]

[thinking again about post bw2 zinzolin and about the ways he might learn to cope with all That. i really think at his core he hates stagnation so i think he'd do best with something that allowed him to make small tangible changes. i think ive said it in the past that i think it would be very healthy for him to like, pick trash up at a park or something. the world hasn't automatically changed, but the park sure is a lot cleaner now. the park, at least, has changed. and this is only the start. y'know?

it's very important to me that zinzolin never becomes... like. "cured". "fixed". etc. and most DEFINITELY not """"redeemed"""" because i dont think the world works like that nor do i think people work like that. instead i want to think of it as healing. yes, he was manipulated by ghetsis to a degree, but still. he did all that. he aided in grooming N to become king, he helped to endanger (at the very best) the people of opelucid... this will stain his past forever. and so the future isn't about undoing the past, but rather for zinzolin to learn how to redirect his pain into helpful rather than hurtful outlets. and he will always remain flawed--impulsive, hot-headed at times, troubled with making genuine connections... but that's just part of his human condition]
