Nawazuddin Siddiqui covers ‘GQ’ : This is such a perfect cover for this magazine. I could never imagine Nawazuddin posing with such perfection!

The Indian Ladies‘ Magazine, apparently the first of its kind in Asia,* was begun in 1901 by Kamala Satthianadhan. If they ever host the issue online it offers everything from a piece on the Vedic Wife to Indian Cookery to tips for social intercourse between European and Indian ladies. 

The well read woman of the 1900s presumably wore a sari, a long sleeved collared blouse and a belt (where did these go).
