That Face!

This is Jade @ Unique Models. She has such a captivating look - amazing skin and an expressive quality that she brings to each shot. Almost like old Hollywood I could imagine her gracing the silver screen!

Jade started modelling when she was 15 then took a break for a while and is now back in the game with a renewed inner strength and confidence booking up a storm and attracting the attention of overseas agencies.

I had just rewatched the cult movie Virgin Suicides and Jade reminded me of the mysterious Lux - the shots in the white shirt are reminiscent of that.

New Face . New Season . New Year!

This is Helena Crawford - with her gamine looks, strong brows and long graceful limbs she was born to model.

Helena was scouted by Amanda Betts who was on her way to a casting with another future star in the car when she spotted Helena going into a bookshop. She signed Helena on the spot and started with her development.

Helena was 13 at the time and it was the first of many times she would be approached over the next few months by different agents.

Helena is now with 62 Models and turning just 15 this year is a natural in front of the camera. She is quietly confident and her look is beguiling - classic and almost delicate but with a moody edge and underlying strength.

This shoot was a bit challenging -in typical Auckland style it had been very hot and then proceeded to pour with rain right as we reached the location. The light was beautiful though in between showers and shooting under the trees worked out well with the colour palette of the clothes.

New Face

Renee reminds me of a young Kate Moss she is one to watch!

I have had my eye on Renee for quite a while I have always thought she had a great look and when she came to see me we agreed it was definitely time for some new shots. In person Renee had a lot more potential than her portfolio showed.

I wanted to show the versatility of Renee's look so we did some very natural shots in bikini bottoms and a tshirt to show off her great legs.Then a beauty shot working with a new season eye look and some strong campaign style images with an international flavour.

Renee has great bone structure and a beautiful long neck. I love the navy and copper look on her so I decided to use the shot featured here for the beauty opener page in M2 Woman magazine.

Soon after this shoot I booked Renee for a campaign shoot - stay tuned!

Aussie label Death Suite has caught my eye this season they have a very editorial collection and I love the strong graphic lines of this top and skirt and the contrasting textures - HOT!

The fur coat is by one of my favourite labels Unreal Fur they have some amazing coats and jackets.

New Face

This is Tessa @ Unique and she is off to a Flying start

When I first saw Tessa I was blown away by her loooong legs they go on forever!

At 5.11 with an athletes body and a natural model walk Tessa was scouted by Ursula @ Unique models while out at a concert - she saw Tessa far off in the crowd and her model potential was obvious. Three months later she was signed with IMG and walking at Sydney fashion week after only doing two shows in Nz previously.

Tessa is part of a successful rowing team, she is a tomboy at heart but has the discipline and determination to go all the way to the top with whatever she sets her mind to.

With options coming in from some prestigious international clients this beauty is just at the start of her journey

Tessa already had some very natural edgy shots so we decided to take a softer feminine but slightly polished approach to show off her amazing long legs and beautiful hair.

New Face

Lets hear it for the boys! This is Tommy from Ali McD Agency in Dunedin. He is also repped by 62 models in Auckland. Tommy came up to Auckland to build his portfolio before his first trip to the U.S.A.

I don't often photograph guys so it was great to work with Tommy who is an absolute sweetheart and very natural to shoot.

After his mother decided he needed more confidence when he was younger Tommy attended one of Ali McD's training courses. and  learnt the ropes of the runway. Now at 19 at 6.2 with great bone structure and a fit lean physique honed from rock climbing Tommy is ready to hit the international circuit.

New Face

This is Erin from Unique Models Management.

Erin was scouted at an outdoor concert in Auckland by Unique founder Ursula Dixon. Erin has a fresh classic beauty and a face the camera loves,  how amazing is that hair! Only modelling for six months and at 16 she has a quiet confidence that will take her far. I wanted to make her a little edgier and show off her natural beauty but still keeping fresh and pared back.

New Face

This is Lucy from Unique Model Management - what a beauty!

Lucy was spotted by Jeni Rose from IMG Paris when she was in Auckland and out and about with Ursula from Unique model management.

Lucy was soon signed and quickly gained a lot of attention from all the right places.

Lucy reminds me of the old school supermodels from the 90's She has the kind of face you just want to keep shooting - a little bit Lindsay Wixon a little bit Miranda Kerr and at 16 she is off to an amazing start.

I wanted her to look a little bit more grown up but still fresh. So I went with one of the seasons hottest looks Sports Luxe mixing pieces from different designers to show off Lucy's best features.

Lucy has skin to die for and such a strong look I have just shot her for my latest beauty editorial - stay tuned!

New Face

This is Marie from Clyne Mode management and at 16 she has all the big names a knocking!

She first came to see me when she had just joined Clyne and after taking a few snaps I was immediately impressed with her natural grace in front of the camera.

Hailing from the Coramandel and always being told she should try modelling Marie applied to Clyne models online. After only a few months has been signed by coveted boutique agency DNA in New York and has caused quite an international stir.

Marie is a real outdoors girl and loves sailing with her family on their boat and on her last holidays was part of the crew sailing on the Spirit of Adventure. I think Marie will be sailing over the seas often in the near distant future! After this shoot I booked Marie on my next fashion editorial so stay tuned for more beautiful pics.

New Face

This is Courtney she is 16 and a new face from new boutique Auckland agency Unique Model Management. 

She was scouted while walking down the street just a couple of months ago by Uniques founder Ursula Seven who was drawn to Courtneys great bone structure and edgy modern look.

I love Courtneys long neck, freckles and her cute elvish ears. She has an unusual beauty that the camera loves and a great depth to her expression. This was her first shoot and she is a natural in front of the camera. One to Watch!
