Thinking about butterflies again and had a thought about them that i think could also fit un!div so dropping it here incase it gives u any ideas bugs are a very frequently disliked thing on account of people thinking they’re gross and stuff and the only exception to this (to my knowledge) are butterflies because people think their pretty if a fly lands on the average person they’ll panic and try to get it off of them/kill it while a butterfly landing on someone is seen as an amazing lucky occurrence most people try to take a picture with the butterfly and want it to stay cuz they’re pretty and cute and elegant and such and somehow escaped the general stigma around bugs despite all that butterflies still are bugs and still do bug things, they still are technically licking whatever they stand on (one of the things people find most gross about flies) they still are willing to eat basically anything as long as it gives them the necessary nutrients to survive and they are physically capable of digesting it (including blood, although they don’t have the ability to break skin they can only drink from preopened wounds (for some reason i compared that to like needing help to open a pickle jar but the jar is flesh and the pickles are blood)) and they’re even capable of being parasitic something else that has a stigma around it and yet despite all of that people still love butterflies they are literally just bugs a very frequently disliked type of animal and yet they are loved cuz they’re pretty and aesthetically pleasing despite still doing all the bug stuff that bugs do cuz they are bugs
