antonia got the call during vacation that her mom, krystle, passed away from cancer.

krystle found antonia in a trashcan when she was just an infant, and raised her like her own child. she never compared antonia to mariela, their biological child, and raised the both of them to be strong women.

she fought cancer for 3 years. all antonia wishes is that she could’ve said goodbye.
