Hi :)

Hi, I thought it would be a fun outlet to start this blog soooo...

I'm a seventeen year old male who loves Bread, Gardening, Crochet, Sewing, Cooking, Video games, Watching media, Learning random facts, and sooo much more.

Some fun facts about me are that my favorite color is gray, my favorite animal is sloths, and my favorite book is either The Wild Robot or Going Bovine.

I also think a lot about how and why (and just thinking in general), so I have kind of created my own ideal/belief/outlook on life, which is the idea that everything is a balance and everything is gray. Such as old ideals and tradition are great but also lots of new ideals and movements are as well. And also that everybody can do (almost) whatever they like to make them happy, as long as they ain't being disrespectful or harmful to others.

I think I've yapped too much so imma just end it here

Garden Update :)

My garden has grown alot since last time. My flowers are starting to bloom and one of my sunflowers is probably 6ft tall now. Im hoping to obtain more harvests soon, right now it's mostly strawberries and a couple of peppers.

I hate sleep

Like I understand the benefits but there are better things that I want to do, it's unnecessarily difficult, and It dosent even do much half the time.

I walk the thinnest line.

One major anxiety of mine that is more real then just in my head is that my friends & those around me view me as annoying. And I know that I am annoying. It is a matter of fact. The problem lies between me being "that charmingly annoying friend" and " just an annoying person".

I think we need more petty competition

I think more people need to have pride for their school/town/smth they belong to. Because too many people are alienating themselves and others and with this newfound pride and competition they will add to it and get help others in their group.

Ex. A school would have a higher overall connection and grades if the students have pride in their school in competition with other schools.

Well if every reaction had a equal & opposite reaction(or smth like that)

Then I think people should start saying "that left a good taste in my mouth"

First Harvest :)

~three strawberries (I lost a couple cause I missed them and they got got :/)

Garden update :)

It growing well but I started kinda late into the season. I have a couple of squash growing and they are an accidental hybrid of acorn and jester squash. The heat recently is hurtin the garden but is so hot that it has made me inconsistent with watering :| but im still very happy.

unpopular opinion but i love overgrown sidewalks. trimmed sidewalks are too unnatural.

Today the most surreal thing happened.

So I was getting a copy of my car key in case I locked my self out and I had parked a spot away from this dude who was painting his car with normal ass paint. And let's just say his car was looking rough. But anyway some douche had called the cops on him and for some reason 3 cops pulled up, all in separate cars. And arrest the dude because he had a warrant for arrest that he didn't know about. And im just standing eating ace popcorn while there waiting for the key guy to do his thing.

The urge to rant about how I think the american government system sucks and how it should work is insane but I know the post would be too long and I would be criticized.

I had this really weird feeling the other day cause I was thinking about life without the internet. Without the internet it would feel as if my world shrank and I lost something that would change my life in major ways, yet in actuality my life wouldn't change much. In the send if I didn't have it my life wouldn't change, I would still be going to school and hanging out with friends and doing my hobbies.

So im visiting new York(not the city, mostly Dutchess county) and my thoughts are

- the humidity is doing numbers for my hair

- very green, bigger & greener plants than colorado

- yummy seafood (my first time trying scallops 🤤)

-makes me excited for college(am planning to go here)

In all is quite like it it's my last day here and we're planning to get bagels, then stop in sleepy hollow on the way back to the airport.

Can't believe i haven't posted about the garden yet. I think it was just some insecurity but better late than never am I right.

Anyway we got-

My very sad looking tomato bed

Most of my tomato starts didn't do well or straight up died so I just sprinkled in the rest of the seeds to make up for it.

This is my first time doing anything in ground so we shall see how it goes. I sprinkled in some native seeds, black velvet nasturiams, mammoth sunflowers, ammaranth, and bachelor's buttons.

These are all expirements where I started seeds from fruits, as in orange, lemon, and apricot.

My kinda sad looking pepper bed

In here we got my dying overwintered bell pepper, a jalapeno and "pepper I dont remember" that my mom bought seeing my sad plants, and then Jimmy Nardello, ancho, and Hungarian wax peppers that I started from seed. And I also sprinkled a ton of different root veg seeds in here that I am losing hope on.

I just planted this today. I asked my dad if I could use this old cart that he carried us kids in when we were little to plant in and he didn't mind. So I planted these Schwartzenbeeren plants that I am reeaaally excited for.

My potato tower

This is a fun technique I saw somewhere on the internet where to safe guard potatoes against pests digging them up (which I experienced last year) you plant them in milk crates and flip them so pests can't break through the crates but the greens can grow right through.

My happy half barrel

I found this dilapidated half barrel in my ally last year and took it and fixed it. So I planted strawberries and chamomile in it and they both overwintered into this season :)

In this bed I have planted my great northern & turkey craw beans, jester squash, orangelo watermelon, oregano, thyme, lemongrass, random potatoes, newly started asparagus from seed. And newly started artichokes from seed, and leeks/scallions.

This is my greatest bed this season holding my, horseradish, acorn squash, random volunteer squash, cucumbers, cantaloupe, chives, boxwood basil, and random lettuce/brassicas.

In all that's my garden, I hope yall like it and any advice is welcome for this young gardener.

It drives me kind of crazy with how in America (at least from what I've seen) that we have an absence of people enjoying the public and having fun with friends at night because of our increased paranoia & annoyance of kids living their lives.

Those delinquent kids in the park at night, the movie theater, the mall, the library, or anywhere are often actually just teenagers having fun with their friends enjoying their childhood and trying to make lasting memories of good times.

But instead they get the cops called, kicked out, or not allowed inside in the first place. Leaving them to rot inside on their phones alone.
