Lily didn’t know too many people in town apart from her family, so she was a bit anxious about meeting a stranger for coffee. But, Sunny seemed nice enough and she’d enjoyed talking to him. Plus, after the day she’d had she could use something to relax her. Hot chocolate would definitely do the trick.

She sat down at a booth and waited for the man, she had a book out and was trying to write a song, but it was just coming out awful.

Well, I’ll have to ask for you when I decide to take the plunge then. What name should I ask for?

Finn’s brows furrowed when there was a knock at his trailer door, followed by Griff’s barking.  He wasn’t expecting any company, but he could have easily forgotten, then again it wasn’t unlike some of his neighbors to just drop by and for a beer and to kill some time.  Finn was aways happy for the company.    

Confusion was replaced by an earnest smile when Finn saw his little sister on the other side of the door, he tried not to let it slip that he’d forgotten she said she’d drop by.  “Hey shorty,”he greeted, moving out of the way so she could come inside his homey trailer.  He’d been working nonstop for three days so it was a bit messier than usual, but the important things were always in an arms reach.  

“Are you hungry we can order a pizza or something?”

Lily was so excited to go see her brother. They weren’t super close as kids, so now that they were spending time with him was special to her. She stepped in the trailer and automatically moved to his left side, out of habit at this point.

“ Pizza would be awesome, ” she insisted enthusiastically.

Lily tossed herself onto the couch, but shifted to sit properly so Finn could sit if he wanted. “ How’s work going? ” she questioned curiously. “ I haven’t been by in a while. ”

I’ve been known to have a cup of coffee. Try to limit it to just during the week though so I don’t become one of the addicted.

Then I’m glad it’s Thursday. What do you say? We can even grab some muffins at the bakery?

I’m only teasing. If you’re not one for the green, but about a coffee? Caffeine can be just as good.

Ew, yeah. Student loans sound super gross. Pleasure’s mine. You’re an educator, though, so I’m going to take a shot in the dark and say you’re a nay for the getting high?

Haven was the first one to take Lily up on her offer to smoke and vent. If she got free weed out of the deal, she didn’t care about the whole listening to someone bitch part. When she was high, she didn’t really listen anyway so it didn’t exactly matter much. Her trailer was pretty clean, to begin with, but she made sure that she straightened up a little bit more as she grabbed the bottle of whiskey off the counter and two cups for the both of them. She moved to the outside where she had a little patio set up with chairs and fairy lights. It was something that she did the moment that she got her new trailer because it gave her a makeshift stargazing spot. When she saw the other girl in the distance, she waved her hand to make sure she could see her. “Did someone say we needed a bitch fest?”

Lily headed over, everything she needed in her bag. Haven seemed nice enough, and she often found others were kinder when high anyway. She was glad Haven was waiting outside, since she hadn’t been to the trailer park before and was worried she’d end up lost and knocking on some stranger’s door. “ No bitching, just hanging if you don’t mind? If I keep bitching I’ll have to work it out at the gym, and I’d rather not. ” she admitted, pulling up a seat and setting her bag down. “ Thanks for agreeing to chill, though. Girl time was definitely needed. ” She insisted, smiling at the other girl.
