Jonny paused for a moment as he looked over at Leonard. “Haven’t ya heard that song before? It ends with a bang.” Almost as if on queue, buildings down the block starting exploding, one by one, stopping just before they got close enough for Leonard and Jonny to get injured in the blast. Jonny tilted his head back and cackled loudly. 

LEONARD WAS IMPRESSED with the dramatics, as if everything was perfectly planned. He watches as the buildings explode one-by-one, stopping before the blasts get close to them. “Bravo, I think that was the best show I’ve seen.” He says with a grin as his attention turns to look back toward his friend. He claps a few times before his hand is back at his side.

VF: of course.

VF: She's convinced she needs to go.

LS: So she can figure out what happened?

Jonny raised his eyebrows, turning around and spreading his arms out wide. “Lenny! You came to see the show!” He tilted his head back and laughed before whirling back around and spinning his bat around once. Dropping the bat by his side, Jonny raised his hands as if he was conducting, humming the 1812 overture. 

LEONARD WASN’T SHOCKED BY the theatrics. He watches as he steps closer, stopping in front of him as he just observes him hum his song. “It looks like I came at the perfect time.” He admits as he gestures to around them. “What am I watching?” He asks as he plays along with it.

Selina laughed at his stiff demeanor, shaking her head. “Don’t worry, no one is going to make you do anything you don’t want to do.”

“I’M PRETTY SURE everyone knows better than to try.” Leonard exclaims as he looks a the woman.

Joker kicked his feet up so that they were resting on the desk, his black boots shined within an inch of its life, his arms coming up so that he could rest his palms against the back of his head. “Ya know, I heard you were working for these two, but I just had to come down and see it for myself!” he exclaimed. “Looks like I was right! Now—” He paused, his lips curved into a cruel expression. “What do you have to gain from working with them?”

LEONARD WAS GOOD AT STAYING CALM luckily, and he just stares over at the Joker with a straight face as he listens to him, and watching as the expression changes suddenly. “Why does it concern you who I work with?” He answers his question with another one. He didn’t think he needed to explain himself, but he might just have to -- not that his answer was an exciting one.

[ text → HARVEY ] —yeah i'm here wasn’t hard, their security is awful for what they pay for it.

[15 minutes later]

VF: This is a terrible idea. I can't imagine what she thinks she will learn there.

LS: You're welcome.

LS: Did you try and talk her out of it?

His voice often shifted for apparently no reason, though everything Joker did was measured. He was a genius by any standards—crazy, evil and a psychopath, but still a genius. He knew that he had to choose everything he did and said carefully. When he first walked in, his voice had been half a growl—now, it was sing-song and joking. “Well! So many things.” He put his arms out. “Have a seat,” he said, as if this was his office.

LEONARD IS CURIOUS as to why Joker was in Harvey’s office, but he wasn’t in place to question it. He wasn’t from Gotham and he doesn’t know how any of those dynamics work necessarily. He moves to sit down though slowly since he was dramatic as usual, making himself comfortable in the chair. “I’m ready to listen.” His had tilting to the side as he waits for the big reveal.

He had a deck of cards in his hand, leaning back in the seat that was supposed to be Harvey Dent’s (though, while Mr. Dent was gone, he saw no problem in using some of his facilities). He flipped between the cards with one hand, all of them holding different variations of a Joker design—all with ultra thin razors lining the edges. It was his favorite deck. Looking up when Leonard walked in, he spread his arms in a flamboyant gesture, an unnerving smile spreading across his features. “Just the man I wanted to see!”

LEONARD HAS KEPT HIMSELF BUSY lately diving deeper into the criminal lifestyle. He has always been in it of course, but he was working with new associates which has kept everything interesting. He strolled into the office in his usual gear, freeze gun strapped to his hip as he stops at the desk. Len didn’t expect to see Joker today, but there was a first time for everything. “What can I do for you?”

LS: I'm not going to pry, but I do wish you luck on your trip.

LS: Interesting.

LS: Something to do with Nora?

VF: I'll be out of the city for a little while it seems.

VF: Do you need any assistance before I go?

LS: Where are you headed?

“I won’t, I’m not going to mess up my mascara for just anyone, you know,” she teased lightly. “Yeah, you’d think so, but then again, I’m not going to kinkshame.”

LEONARD RAISES AN EYEBROW. “If people are interested in that then that’s their business.” He shakes his head, although it sounds disgusting to him.
