Fan Joy July!!!

@/kikker-oma has coined a lovely little idea to increase creative feedback in a fandom, and I'm deciding to join. Unlike them, I can't draw for shit, but I'm a writer who wants to give back to other artists and writers!

This July, I will be writing 3-6 oneshots (probably about 2k) based on fanart in the LU fandom. I've always been hesitant to do this because I assumed a lot of artists had already imagined, if not written, a story to go with their art. So right now the plan is to ask permission from the artist and offer them an LU writing request of comparable length if that would bring them more joy!

That being said, if you've got a favorite LU artist or art piece, send them my way! I would love recommendations, especially by or for people who are open to having their art expanded on. Self-promo encouraged! I know for a fact that quite a few of these posts have gone around, and I get the awful feeling that we might accidentally double up, so maybe try reccing an artist or art piece that you haven't seen recced before!

Quell: “subdue or silence or suppress”. Link was quelled to let Zelda have her time to shine.

Hush: Link is quiet, hushed, while Zelda is the louder, echoing hero in this story.

Whisker: “Whisker—oh! I mean Whisper.” Well now they’re calling him Whisker. (Whisper accidentally says his nickname too softly. The Chain mishear Whisker and it sticks. Plus he has cats in his Hyrule again!)
