wow im twice as old as my old blog now

my intention: to keep a journal/commonplace book (#day to day)

utterly swamped in work and applications and school but

accidentally found that my coworker not only has exquisite taste in events, art, and music, but also follows so many specific queer and even queer kinky accounts that i can safely assume i am not the only queer person at work

and as much as i do love the very specific cultural environment i can work in,

it's just so nice to know for sure :3

i do honestly wish i wasn't so busy that i couldn't try to be more of a outside of work friend 😔 honestly she's so cool i would enjoy an opportunity to be an out of work friend with her even after i leave the center,,,, i'd be honored....

and now i've learned she's in the messiest situationship she can be in... thank u for sharing girl but u do deserve better. i get not immediately gunning right now for the better to resolve your feelings as someone who lets toxic things go slower than maybe recommended so as not to regret my own choices, but i hope for u and me that we get space and growth elsewhere too...

The Guardians | Vladimir Antaki

These places are sometimes magical, overloaded with elements, colours and stories, guarded by these characters who are sometimes touching, funny, quirky, and at times frightening.

The photos that I take are often the only memory that this “Guardian” will have of him/herself in their daily environment. This photo can be the only visual record of the existence of this place, the only photographic memory. People pay less and less attention to their environment. They are always in a hurry, they don’t take the time to spend time with one another. Unfortunately, these places will one day no longer be around. This is one of the reasons that compelled me to want to document these “guardians”.

With some changes to techniques, a careful selection of kitchen tools, and tips from fellow bakers, the joy of baking can live on.

I luckily haven't had to deal with much chronic pain or hand pain yet, especially with regards to baking (crochet is another story). That said, these look like some pretty solid tips! There's also some in the comments section.

As this link nears five hundred notes, I'm just... very quietly touched at how many people are sharing it. Whether they need it themselves (or think they will someday), or know someone else who might need it, the fact that all of them are sharing the sentiment of "I want the people who love doing this thing to be able to keep doing the thing that they love" is... yeah. It makes me happy.
