Needed to feel good about my art style so I slapped this together instead of sleeping, friend introduced me to this song so imagine that as my backdrop (They literally recommended it to me based entirely on the song title being "LEO", my reputation precedes me. It's been so long since I drew my ocs because art motivation is just Hard but if Sol and Cataster could actually commune in the mindspace I just imagine it'd be like this
Sol is experiencing tragic unrequited yaoi and Cataster just really wants to go home, he has work to catch up on and a family he never saw grow up
For those who are confused, the idea for this was "what if Astra actually stole the ultra key, not babarue". I just feel like Leo(the show)'s got a lot of potential for various alternate paths the story could have gone and it makes my autism enter hyperdrive
Fun fact about this one! This was initially a sketch I did for ultratober (day 23: "what if" au) because the original sketches I was doing for that day were pissing me right off I won't lie. Obviously I eventually figured it out, but I liked the vibe of this one and decided to circle back around to it.

First fun fact is her name was taken from mashing together "Bast" and "Sekhmet" from Egyptian mythology
I'm still deciding my headcanons for L77 and all that jazz so it's all subject to change
Rn the rundown is that Bahmet comes from humble beginnings, big family in a small village, lived life very freely, met Arus once when he was visiting his people as a prince and immediately got a super dopey crush on him. So when there was like a royal draft sent out for people to sign up to be tested as queen candidates she was like "get me in that castle NOW" and managed to qualify, and then went on to win the combat bracket thing to determine which of them was the strongest for legacy purposes, I'm still working out the details forgive me lol.
During the selection process, Bahmet was the most direct and upfront of the candidates (sometimes a little too upfront) which ended up being what got her Arus' favor. "She makes me laugh" kind of energy. He likes her bluntness and wildness, it spices up the daily routine of politics and paperwork. She's essentially his voice of the people that keeps him grounded and gives him perspective outside of the pampered lifestyle he's used to. He's not openly affectionate but it's more from a place of stoicism than disinterest, he's very lowkey in how he expresses his love, in contrast to how clingy Bahmet can get. If you've seen Leo ep. 15 Leo gets his petty jealousy from her. Also the impulsivity
She's still a seasoned fighter even after her post-partum injury, she just had to adjust her fighting style to accommodate it. She loves the wacking potential with her walking stick. I realized after making her that "oh wait isn't that just seven throughout leo" but I was too stubborn to change it and I refuse to let seven dictate how I make my ocs, that geriatric son of a bitch can eat my shoe rubber
When she was given her sword-staff, Arus tried teaching her to swordfight and she somehow always managed to use the sword incorrectly. Sometimes in ways he didn't even realize were possible. She got the hang of it eventually but it keeps him up at night
Even as queen she got in trouble a lot for romping through the gardens because she was playing with Leo and Astra. In general she got scolded a lot for her impulsivity, though she always made sure to reel it in during important meetings and moments. She knows that it stops being fun when it hurts or inconveniences others so she always made sure to help clean up whatever messes she made if it got out of hand. Her consideration and kindness helped her win favor after her coronation since many were suspicious of her capabilities due to her background
Before becoming a queen candidate, she used to drink her fellow villagers under the table for fun. Somewhere on L77 there was a bar that named a drink after her because of it. Leo did not get his alcohol tolerance from her, Astra took it from him
My friends and I like to joke that when she was wheelchair-bound after giving birth she just went full tokyo drift in the castle halls to kill the time when she got bored. Sometimes with Leo and Astra strapped to her chest in a baby sling. Enrichment
