Fun story for you lot. I was actually present when this photo was taken and it is definitely a story worth knowing.

This happened at the Regeneration Who convention down in Baltimore and our little Gomez and Capaldi were getting ready for their group shot. Gomez had had one of her people run off and grab her a quick snack and had come back with an energy bar. Gomez took a bite off of it.... and then **SCREAMED**.

Apparently it was quite disgusting.

She spat it out and then immediately ran over to Capaldi, put it up to his face and told him to try it.

He took a bite.

Before he was able to spit it out, she grabbed him and this photo was taken.

Now you can understand that smirk on Gomez’s face and that look in Capaldi’s eyes.

If in the case you were actually wondering.... They are most definitely their characters off the screen.

In 4.2 or 4.3, the Doctor should be in the TARDIS, talking away quietly. “I lost my people in the Time War…” He’s wandering around the console, all introspective. And then Donna says, “How d’you spell Dalek?” He looks up - and she’s taking notes! Little pad and pencil! He’d hate that. “You’re taking notes?” “Well, you talk all the time.” “I don’t have people on board to take notes!” “Oh, are there rules then?” “In this case, yes!” “Well, I’d better write them down!” These two characters write themselves. But they mustn’t bicker for too long. “I’d better write them down” would be followed by a pause, then a smile from the Doctor. He likes her. Without a word, she puts down the notebook and asks him something real.
